At this point, it’s pretty obvious what they’re doing: squeeze as much out of everyone as possible while shifting more work offshore and cutting whoever’s left stateside. They keep merging already overwhelmed teams and piling extra roles onto people who are barely keeping up as is. I doubt anything major will happen before January, but after that, it’s anyone’s guess. The trend is clear, though, and it isn’t good.

Hatchet has an plan - looks more like A CONCEPT OF A PLAN
Someone posted: It had better be a damn good plan that gets unveiled soon.
Based on what he has shown = nothing - is just a CONCEPT of a plan
Are the rest of us safe?
My group took a hit today, and now I’m trying to figure out if those of us left standing are in the clear. I doubt they’d split cuts within the same team across multiple days, but no one has said anything official yet, so I’m guessing like everyone else.
Restructuring dates
Changes expected through February 2026
Believing you're safe
I’m always amazed by people who act untouchable while cuts are happening all around them. Part of me wishes I had that kind of confidence. The other part is relieved that I’m realistic enough to prepare instead of being blindsided.
Is Canada massacre over at the EOD today?
Mississauga HQ associates were asked to wfh Monday-Tuesday. So it's all over at the end of the day today?
SILENCE OUT HERE
I've known this guy for over 20 years. He used to reply to my texts instantly, even on weekends. I know his family, etc. But now he's ghosted me and left me on read. I sent another note, and he ghosted again. How threatened are the higher-ups to speak on their packages?
The dragging uncertainty is exhausting
I just want the decision made so we can move forward, whatever that ends up looking like.
How long is this round supposed to last?
Any clue at all? I know none of us are safe, and rolling layoffs will probably be the new normal, but it would be great to know when this particular nightmare ends, just so we can breathe for a moment.
The “2nd and 3rd” touch base
Looks like there are more calls. 12:30 and 1:00. Just labeled touch base and from Sr. Dir. Anyone else have any thoughts on what this might be? I’m thinking explanation of what’s going on followed by the new org structure?
Leadership being this vague and uncommunicative really worries me
Even in the media. Nothing remotely concrete. It makes me wonder if the damage is going to be worse than we originally thought.
Layoffs are keeping me at Verizon
The thought of near-certain severance is the only reason I am still here. Otherwise, I would have left long ago given the uncertainty and constant stress.
This will be a horrible week
I was hoping that whatever happens, it would be done in one day so we can move on. But with how little info we're getting and how slowly things are developing, it seems this will be a week-long affair, at least. I'm not looking forward to all the stress and anxiety one bit.
Layoffs at Digi
Can somebody confirm (or even better, tell me it's not true) the recent rumors about major cuts coming in January? I understand people are nervous because everybody seems to be laying off, so is there a chance that people are just panicking and speculating, and layoffs are not actually coming?
Turnover is slowing
I know it's not because people suddenly like it here and have decided to stop looking, but it says a lot about the state of the job market. I won't lie, it makes me nervous.
The situation calls for caution
There’s no massive layoff wave in Wisconsin, but plenty of smaller and mid-sized cuts across different industries are creating a lot of uncertainty. If economic pressures continue, more job losses are definitely possible.
Are more store closings really coming?
It wouldn’t be surprising. Someone mentioned another 300 shutting down next year, and I wouldn’t be shocked if the final number ends up even higher. What’s really stopping them from shutting everything down and switching fully to the non-corp model? Either way, the uncertainty and anxiety just keep dragging on.
Interviews feel colder now
Even when I get interviews, every conversation feels mechanical. Companies are cautious, hiring managers seem stretched thin, and nobody promises stability. It feels like the whole market shifted into survival mode and all of us are stuck in it. I feel so bad for those who have to go through the whole process without having a job.
The silence is too loud
Whenever leadership goes quiet, we all know something’s brewing. And it's been very quiet lately.
Why are people so convinced more cuts are coming?
What did I miss?
When will layoffs finally continue?
I keep expecting more, but nothing is happening.
How do people adjust to constant layoffs?
I tried, and I can't. I get so worked up ahead of every other Tuesday and then it takes me a few days to calm down afterwards. Rinse and repeat. Yet I see so many of my coworkers act like it's not a big deal. How do you reach that point, because figuring that out would do wonders for my mental health?
What are the chances we're getting worked up over something small?
Is there even a small chance that could be true?
The clown says go faster
Bandy the clown lectures us all about going faster in the last Town Hall. 5 months later we still don’t have a defined sales organization. It is not difficult to split a few accounts between team and then decide how manny sales peeps. Q1 2026 will just be another few months of uncertainty and disruption. Obviously going faster doesn’t apply to Bandy, JUG and whichever Lex monkey does the sales coverage.
Any updates at all on the fate of the remotes?
I’ve heard timelines all over the place, from now through March. Has anything new or reliable come out?
Any idea which teams are most at risk?
This whole thing is hanging over me like a storm cloud. I’d stress less if there were real job options out there, but it feels like there’s nothing to fall back on.
This has been a cr-ppy weekend so far
Worried, and not really having any clue what is going to happen.
1k
1k days?
Verizon employees has 1000 days to get another job
Dan wants Ai displace Verizon employees within 1000 days per his comments on his all hands call. Time to jump off the sinking ship before then.
December Layoffs?
I’ve heard rumors that more layoffs are coming this month. Has anyone else heard this?
Any information on the next waves?
We heard January, or March, even June.
Seems that countries where the work council is strong are not so easy to get rid of.
Any submarine infos?
Accenture
Isn't the Accenture contract cancellation date fast approaching? Does anyone know how many current Accenture contractors will be brought on by the new vendor and how many will be let go?
Someone I know who is still there tells me they have been setting up access for new the new vendor like crazy.
Hasta la vista Argentina !
2026 Capex allocations are now of public domain.
Absolute zero reference of Argentina, which can be interpreted in 2 ways:
- next divestiture candidate
- idling at minimum for the next few years until the Permian peaks and start to decline.
Curious to know your opinions.
Onsite mtg 12/4
Does anyone else have an onsite meeting for Thursday the 4th? Not sure if this is restructuring or what.
Is it true that KKR is selling-off Omnissa?
Is it true that KKR is working on a deal to sell Omnissa? If so, who do you think the buyer will be? Does anybody know? Any hints?
Accelerated Timeline for the Move?
Any insight into if the building challenges could lead to an accelerated move to Edmonton? Ex. Can’t build a building on-site and therefore Imperial decides to simply lease/buy an existing vacant building downtown Edmonton? I have no legit intel suggesting if this is a valid concern of not.
