Say you are laid off on a Tuesday after payday. Exactly 61 days later is your work anniversary.

Will you get credit for that extra year? Or does that work anniversary fall outside the notice period?

More simply put does the notice period start the day you are told? Or the next day?

Pretty soon it’s gonna be filled with promotion posts from people tone-deaf enough to celebrate while others are getting laid off or pushed into roles they don’t even want

I am guessing that the severance was zero.

Did any layoffs happen at AspenTech? Any senior roles got impacted?

How is the post-merger integration going? Aspen employees hated that Emerson pays much lower. How's the feeling now?

A couple of managers were let go last year on my larger team.
One manager had 2 employees that were let go about 4 months ago.
My manager had a team of 5 including myself.
One of my colleagues has now been promoted to a senior role.
The other 4 of us are at a loss on what’s next.

Laid off this morning (US). Outstanding performance reviews, raise last year, RSU's, etc. At least they gave us a month on payroll for the RSU's to vest.

Interested to hear which orgs are doing layoffs this round. This is just exhausting!!

A great deal of NetSuite(some very tenured, some high performers) were let go in the last round a few weeks ago. Any updates on NS and this latest round today?

5 years+, top performer on the team. Was expecting a promotion and raise after this past review cycle, but promotion to “customer” is not what I was expecting.

I was laid off in 2023, and despite applying to several jobs I'm qualified at T-Mo, I'm not getting called back. I've written the HR rep (that I previously connected with while employed) and she is not responding.

When the last round of layoffs happened, the first floor of Pleasanton had a dozen large boxes for packing up people's stuff. Not seeing those today and haven't heard of any layoffs from my team or anyone from the office. Anyone else seeing anything different?

I was let go this morning after 10+ years of service. My team are stunned. If it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. Consider my termination an AI casuality. Might be time for all Oracle employees to seriously consider what the end game is at Oracle with these huge AI plans.

Next surplus announcement date per contract for CWA/Leg T workers is September 15th. Of course many of us are hoping to be declared surplus to get the termination package up to 104 weeks pay for those of us with over 31 years service. We all know our job tasks are being automated and/or offshored thus we'll eventually be laid off - and we're simply hanging out happily waiting for the awesome 2 year paid vacation, hoping not to lose this in our next labor contract next year.

Never saw a party spend like this in 20 years of good times. How dare they do this while constantly laying people off.

Why am I only seeing people who've been here for at least a decade but most for almost two posting they were laid off? Has leadership completely given up on trying to hide age discrimination?

I got a calendar invite for 30mins EOD at 5pm and it’s for 30mins. I haven’t experienced layoffs before.

Any advice to what I should expect going into this would be helpful. What does a typical layoff calendar invite title look like?

I'm hearing some people are working through the end of September.
