I haven't been here long but I'm already getting tired of the constant anxiety about whether and when there will be more cuts, whether I'll be a target even though I'm doing my best, etc. When did constant layoffs become the norm here? I guess... — read more
Sales and Marketing may not know of any changes on Dec 12
Was told last week that sales and marketing may not find out on Dec 12th of any layoffs or reorgs just that there will be some changes but are unknown at this point at least to lower level managers. Buckle up its going to be a long winter.
Fired, what can be done?
So i got fired. Not because i was bad at work, not because i had bad dealings with my customers, but because of my beliefs and stance. And, it seems from all the companies that i applied for, Cisco has a hand in companies blocking me from getting... — read more
Why would a director take PTO until Dec 12
Director took PTO when LR was announced and will return Dec 12. Any thoughts on what that means? Would seem that it would difficult to fight for team if gone on vaca.
Dec 12th … Lists of FTE’s or Teams?
A lot of comments about lists being finalized for the upcoming LR. Past LR’s have involved providing a list of FTE’s to meet a desired budget cut based on redundancy within teams. I believe this LR is different. It’s rebalancing the entire company to... — read more

Cisco Layoffs 2023
Do you think there will be Cisco layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?
Its sad
I realize that we all are have various degrees of concern during this time for layoff. Me included. I also am not a fan of the continuous layoff cycle in Cisco. Regardless of the reasons. That said. The people I work with here at Cisco have been... — read more
I would be ashamed
If I were the leadership, I would consider it my personal and professional defeat that most of the best employees left for competitors. Cisco long ago became a nursery of talents. How does our leadership feel about that? I wonder if they ever even... — read more

AppD will be cut
Cisco does not have a clue how to run a software business. AppD is losing to its competitors and will have some layoffs this coming Dec 12. Those who still stay will have to work harder since positions aren’t going to be backfilled. It’s probably a... — read more
Now that Thanksgiving is over, let's talk about things we're not thankful for
I'm not thankful for the soul-draining company culture at Cisco, incompetent leadership, constant fear of layoffs - for an obviously good reason, useless yearly reviews that have no bearing on who'll get laid off, and the eroding benefits. I know I... — read more

Manager is behaving strangely
Judging by the changes in our manager's behavior, this should be a sign that our team will be impacted. At least that's what I think but maybe it's not a reliable sign? This time I would like to be the target. I'm one of those people who can't... — read more
