Bills have to be paid, but health is priceless. Isn't it sad that many decide to leave BBBY only after their health deteriorates? If such statistics existed, it would be interesting, and probably appalling, to see how negatively this place... — read more
Why close a well performing store?
Can someone explain to me why it is not unusual for BBBY to close a store that is actually performing very well? I have a friend who used to work in one such store that was closed some time ago.
Closing stores
Two years ago my store was one of the 200 slated to close. We began our liquidation process in October and closed the doors to the last customer the week before Christmas. At the news of our closing, 3 key holders bailed leaving store manager, 3... — read more
Opportunities offered outside
There is no need to blame those who have stayed here for a long time. Some people are more ambitious by nature, some are not and stay in one place for a long time. I wonder where the long timers went after they finally left BBBY? Are most of... — read more
January/February for next round of closings

Nothing but smoke and mirrors for years
All of us working here have known for years that most of what the ELT has been presenting to the public and shareholders has been nothing but smoke and mirrors. Some of us tried to speak up but we were ignored. Now chickens have come home to roost... — read more
This all feels like Kmart did near the End.
I worked at Kmart for 12 years before my store closed. BBBY is going down the SAME path, right down to the stupid rewards program. Ask Kmart how well that saved them! The rewards program was one of many nails that ki---d Kmart and it will ki-l BBBY... — read more
Dear Customers…..

Have you seen any ASMs or supers do this?
Deliberately undercut their SM if they did not like the person?
What are they waiting for?
Why haven't they published the full list of 150 closing stores? Why let us know about 56 and not the rest? You can't convince me they're still deciding which stores they're closing. You do not give a precise number and then see how to fill it. They... — read more
Looking at a Rodadside Accident
I'm in a store that is supposedly safe. Though I highly doubt it. Our numbers are so low we can't possibly even be paying for the utilities. But our customers more com e in now to see the wreckage and complain about empty shelves. Not so much to... — read more
Staffing
We cannot seem to find reliable help. Any new hires seem to quit or start calling out from the get go. And now there aren't even many applications coming through. What is going on in everyone else's stores?
Working at a closing store has its advantages
I can finally tell off all the rude and entitled customers, and I've been enjoying it immensely. The look on their face is priceless. They always want to talk to a manager, but what are they going to do, fire me? I'm doing them a favor by staying... — read more

Anyone know the rate at which we accrue PTO?
I have no idea how fast we accrue our vacation time. I knew I'd owe some (I had just taken a few day vacation two weeks prior) but I wasn't expecting my entire 1 week paycheck to be taken.
