Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Sue G you’re delusional

If you think Bed Bath could ever become the preferred shopping experience, you’ve been in the game too long. The thieves in Union took care of that years ago and there’s coming back from it. Those still with the company, take yourselves and your pride and get out - you’re worth more!

The one great thing is that I do not live on upvotes and downvotes. But I will tell you that some of the downvotes have hit a nerve and a kernel of truth. I see no reason why a super would lie to me about the buyers.

I can tell you where this happened if you haven't already figured it out in terms of the buyers pushing dept supers.

I have heard stories of buyers literally asking associates to push a certain item they bought for the store while on one of those safaris with one of the long gone (ie, fired) regional mgrs. It did happen. They bought cr-p and they left. Starting with MyPillow but hardly ending there. You could not tell the garbage compactor from the Clearance aisle in 2020. Or maybe you could- they did find one su---r wholesaler in Texas to push the junk that was in clearance for over a year. I remember the huge boxes they threw the stuff in.

Gove gets paid to be delusional. So did MT. And it was the job of your DMs and SMs and supers to make you delusional as well. Now go use your 25% off coupon so Sue can get paid!

I think it's the preferred shopping experience of folks trying to make a quick buck off of Clearance items, and clearly it's the best experience for people wanting to turn the leftovers in Clearance into a disorganized mess. My condolences if you have drapery items in there and got stuck organizing it. For many people, Clearance is like going to Goodwill.

I more than agree that corporate couponed this place to death until there was no going back. They failed at developing a good e commerce platform and were tardy in even getting online. And most of their buyers must have gotten kickbacks from vendors for some of the junk we carried.
