Anybody else running out of things to sell?There are things people want to buy but we're not getting them in time or at all anymore. I can't figure out if this is because the higher ups have decided our store needs to be closed or if this is the case with everybody.

Might be worth sending a few employees to dollar tree to buy up a few hundred dollars of items so you can put them on the BBBY shelves at a substantial mark up.
It's very frustrating that we are out of so many essential items yet upper management keeps pushing sales and WR+. Give us stuff to sell! I am so sick of them being so far from reality. I get we all have a job to do but come on. Also, when is the last time any of them have come to actually help the stores. You can only accomplish so much with these hours.
Back in the day this was a well oiled machine but now its become a rusty broken down machine !!!! Hate to say it but time to send it to the retail junkyard!! The only regrettable side to this is the people who have put their heart and soul into this company for so many years!!
MFT and CW were all over these conversion calls but absolutely would not listen. How can you hold an SM accountable for conversion when you don’t even have a chip clip to sell in the entire store! Hey so and so, can you talk on the call in regards to why you suck so bad? Sure, can I link the two of you into my presentation, please? How do you allow two DM’s that worked their bu-t off for u to get thrown under the bus? What happened to your spine? MFT went from a merchandising position to a lateral move in HR. Please, there is not one company that will move a good merchant into an HR role😀😀😀. I want to know who hired this former TGT executive that obviously failed in their previous role? She is also the person that hired the DM that went from TGT to Marshalls to Petsmart to Bed Bath to the Tool business after decimating a district under MFT’s so called leadership. I won’t even go into how many SM’s over the age of 50 which were placed on a PIP. Unbelievable how MFT can still be employed. Kick her out on her a__ Ms. CEO!
I think they threw conversion out the door when they realized how tough it will be to convince people to compete for these jobs. (re: the writeups for not making conversion for the keys?) Then you chuck 55 stores and get a loan. You get the idea. The Hunger Games idea was thrown out?
Merchandising at Naperville was so random when I visited that it looked a bit like an old Canadian Kmart. Stuff just shows up out of nowhere, and just ONE of each thing where you least expect it, but I do recognize what you are up against.
Higher ups are too far removed from customers. Sorry for putting 1uz on wrong thread.
@1uz. Great post.
Most of our store is flexed with random merchandise. It is getting very hard to stay engaged with this job. We are desperately filling shelves with whatever we have. Funny how conversion no longer matters.
It's done they have no recover plan that loan they acquired was just okay pervious vendors .We are now in the 4th quarter ordering cycle and no merchandise in sight even if they still would order product we won't see it until the holiday season is over .
It's difficult to get merchandise when the company is COD with some vendors.
This is unfortunate that we are run by individuals that don’t have a clue how to run a business. They are so far from reality that it is so sad. They have no clue as to the damage that they do by not being proactive and responsive to the needs of the business. Practice what you preach you are ki----g us Sue
We are all going thru the same thing. Iron board covers, ics cube trays, bed pillows, coffee, cookware sets, cuisinart coffee makers, tension shower rods.
