Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Is there anyone who can't get a new job?

Most people here advise leaving this place as soon as possible. I know that without anyone telling me. I'm more than depressed because I can't find anything else.

I think I learned a ton about customer service from BBBY back when it was a company that trained people well. If you used the tools, they worked much of the time.

If you are on the corporate side of things LinkedIn and Indeed are great sites to use job hunting. If you are on the IT side of things those sites are great along with Dice. If you are on the store side actually going to other stores and asking if they are hiring will do wonders. So many places are looking for people who actually want to work with pay much better that BBB with a completely different atmosphere. Good luck to everyone!

I was looking for another job before I got laid off, I was a supervisor at BBBY. I found a job as ASM for another company. There are jobs, plenty. Write an amazing resume and start applying.

I am not sure where you are looking but there are some many jobs out there looking to hire. Especially since nobody wants to work. Linked In is a great tool to network and get your resume out there. Best of luck to all who still work for BBBY and were let go. It’s not easy especially with the holiday just around the corner but the grass is greener on the other side.

Working behind the window counter at the local fuel & food station is a better option than dealing with the stress you're experiencing now! Yes I know it doesn't pay well, neither did BBBY. You can at least be looking for that next gig while technically still employed. Unemployed candidates can be considered damaged goods. For the sake of your mental sanity, get out of BBBY!

Use Glassdoor, indeed, snagajob and other job boards all are free and some spam the he-l out of you. Up date your resume and fluff it. Add everything that you learned from your job at BBB. Customer service
Look up the jobs you are applying for and see what their values are such as IKEA values- get a job interview in person and you will be top of your game
Not all hope is lost, it may take a bit but be persistent in your search
Good luck
