Major reorg and layoff OnTap

Kurians knives are out once again. The stock price has fallen below the boards expectations and with sales flat overhead needs to be reduced.

Each person should do what is best for them

I don't like universal advice such as "It's best for everyone to just leave this joke of a company". Yes, it is true that most people are much better off since they left NetApp, but I know several who have regretted it, not because they left... — read more

Some are anxious, some feel safe

When I talk to my colleagues, some are very anxious, and some are surprisingly sure that their positions are safe. Are there any positions here that are much safer than others if there are cuts? I always hope for the best, while at the same time... — read more

How serious are the layoffs going to be this time?

Every known company is laying off and it's only ironic that NetApp hasn't yet. Can someone privileged enough to know when the ax will swing, help predict this? There is so much work pressure and when you add this uncertainty, it just becomes... — read more

It's too much

What was once a normal job has turned into having no work-life balance because I'm forced to do mine and the jobs of two people who were let go months ago. I get no extra pay or bonus. All of this while my manager keeps telling me to be grateful that... — read more

Anxiety creeping in

With layoffs all around us in the tech industry, the frequent layoffs at NetApp come as an advantage for its employees this time? i.e. less or minimal layoffs around the corner? There is always a good time to get laid off and the worst time too, I... — read more

Marketing disaster, changes coming

Marketing is a disaster and just keeps getting worse. Instead of making fundamental changes at the top, a “new plan” gets created every 6 months. VP’s are not really accountable to their last “plan” so they just make up a new one. Over and over... — read more

Layoffs when?

Given the current trend of widespread layoffs across the tech industry, it feels weird that NetApp hasn't announced layoffs yet. Whats the scale of the layoffs this time around?

August layoffs

Single digit revenue products going to get hit hard. StorageGrid and E firesale coming .

NetApp in the cloud

A lot of the posts here are complaining about the working conditions at NetApp, but what about long term prospects of the company regardless, even if the employment is good. Do you believe NetApp trying to reposition itself as a Cloud company has any... — read more

Psychological abuse

I work with a team mate who gets very excited about proving me wrong about something, and he would like to do it when there is a bigger audience - I bet he prepares everyday keenly for such an opportunity and lately one more person added himself to... — read more

CFO stock purchase

CFO guy seems confident in Netapp.. “Earlier this month, NetApp's (NTAP) Chief Financial Officer Michael J. Berry bought $360,000 worth of shares in the open market.” Seeking alpha

Just had my annual review. LAME

I just had my annual FY22 review. I received a 4% merit increase and a weak ICP bonus and ZERO equity RSUs but told I was a top performer. Just WOW! This won't cover the inflation. Time to move on from NetApp.

Such a shame

I have been a customer or an employee of NetApp since it went public. The decline started with Tom Georgens and has accelerated under George Kurian, so and now gutted by former MSFT employees. It's only going to I get worse now as Kurian allows the... — read more

Resignations

Anthony Lye resigned from NetApp, one of the worst generators of HR issues with a constant stream of "cover ups" to protect a leader. Expect layoffs and cuts around the leadership changes. Other leaders have resigned as well due to quota and culture... — read more

Are you polishing your resume?

I hope there aren’t many of those who think they’re safe. You should always have a nest egg set aside for eventual cuts.

This forum is lit

Speaks about NetApp more than in any other platform. Glassdoor too doesn't reflect the everyday pain go through here.

Why exactly are they performing layoffs?

Layoffs are a constant threat, yet we are barely managing to get the work done as it is. In my team everyone is overworked, working overtime and I can’t even imagine what would happen if we lost another team member or two. Looks like layoffs are only... — read more

Making every effort

Some are trying to convince me that it is possible to be valued here if enough effort is put into your work. Really? How much is "enough effort"? I don’t think of myself as the best employee, but I’ve been putting in the maximum effort for a... — read more

Recession Layoffs?

New to this forum, can someone guide me if there are going to be recession based layoffs on top the usual layoffs that happen every now and then?

I am setting myself a goal

I cant tolerate this abusive, back stabbing, toxic and cesspool of an environment. If I can get out of this company in 3 months, I will, otherwise I will resign and better my mental health and skillset while being jobless. People stress less about... — read more

What a mess

There are many dysfunctional teams across the company, that's obvious. However, instead of fixing the many problems, our leadership opts to lay off hardworking employees and hire more layers of management because that's what's going to help, right?... — read more

Constant fear of layoffs.

It's getting a little tiring. For me that is more hard to bare than the unrealistic amount of work and growing expectations of employees. If were to do a poll, I think it would turn out that more people are leaving here because of the constant... — read more

Should I join NetApp?

I'm considering VAST, PURE and NetApp roles. There seems to be a lot of negative energy here. Are there layoffs and how prevalent are they? Is the culture really as bad as the employees claim. NetApp seems like a stodgy old company with legacy... — read more

Eerily quiet here

Calm before the storm? Especially given that there is a lot going in other companies?

Supply chain is going to put the hammer downg

King Kurian will have to confess we are impacted by supply chain. That will drive the stock into the 50s at least. Take a look at what happened during Cisco's earnings call. Stock price and revenue shrinking will result in more layoffs since that's... — read more

Stock is at ~65 now

When should we start worrying about Layoffs ( other than the general worry that we always have )

My RSUs are cratering

I've heard that we are changing the stock plan? Is that true? It's the only positive thing keeping me here.

Here comes the bo-m

No growth for a decade and the stock price will get crushed on earnings. Kurian needs sacrifice. Notices are imminent.
