It's never a good time to be laid off, especially now. However, do not be discouraged because there are still many opportunities on the job market for those who have the skills.
I recently got a new job despite people telling me that it would be much more difficult in this kind of market. I understand the initial concern and the stress you are going through, but when you finally get a new offer, you will feel relieved and lucky that you are no longer here!
