Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

You should not expect to see an announcement about layoffs

NetApp is not very transparent about this. I know several people were impacted in May 2022 - yet nothing was ever announced even though more than 5% were impacted. Some companies are more thoughtful and transparent than others. NetApp really sucks at this and that is why everyone is on this site trying to figure out what is going on... Major loss of productivity for the company.

Yeah we got the email within seconds of being told at the end of our overnight shift that our team would be deeply impacted. They were not kidding. The whole thing was incredibly callous. Guess the new buildings in ICT & Cork are gonna have tons of empty space.

I am glad they didn’t do the silent layoffs that has been the norm recently.
