MIGA - Make Intel Great Again

I think Trump has some other things up his sleeve that will help Intel and give them an unfair advantage over other companies. I know this seems weird on how Intel spearheaded the Chips act and we are the only company being hosed by it, however I think it might turn out to be a great thing. Let’s give it some time……the Donald still has 3 years.

Initiatives like diversity and Sustainability Ki-led Intel

Think about it. We hit all of our diversity and sustainability goals over the last 8 years and we missed all of the technical business goals that were supposed to propel the company growth. I know first hand that we went way overboard on our hiring and retention of minorities. We lost
Out on so much technical talent that was not diverse. Managers were forced to hire African American, women or Hispanic candidates. I remember years when we would have excellent engineers to hire and we were stopped by HR and
Forced to wait for a URM candidate with the minimum qualifications. They were far and few between in the engineering field. We lost so many great non diverse engineers in this process. I went to a university hiring event and was horrified when HR said we were extending offers to all Black and women engineers, even before we interviewed them! Then at Focal or rewards managers were
Forced to meet a URM promotion and high rating goal even if they were not ready. We lost great non diverse talent because we could not justly reward there exemplary results. On sustainability, Intel wanted to lead…..mostly because they knew no other company wanted to waste precious people Resources on this endeavor. It was maddening how HR leaders and Social Justice majors ruined Intel! Don’t get me wrong, Diversity and sustainability are good……however these are good examples on how Intel lost focus. Thanks BK, Swan, various HR CPO’s.

Who is this parasitic leader in US? One who contributes no value, yet thrives by feeding off his remote teams work ?

Many non-american directors and VPs in US are surviving by feeding on work of their remote teams. They have no technical, no planning, and no managerial ability. They cannot contribute to strategy and not set direction for the team.
Theiremote team wastes time explaining work to him so he can brief higher-ups, but there poor grasp and inaccurate updates create confusion and more effort. Out of insecurity, they misrepresent successes as their own foresight, blame failures on remote leads, and withhold information from remote leads to keep them from becoming threats. They even avoid involving remote leads in meetings with other american peers and managers, ensuring they are cut off from visibility and credit. Careers in remote teams depend on their patronage, not merit; loyalists are rewarded, independent voices punished. Their insecurity, politics, and favoritism fracture the team and poison the culture.
Have you come across such leaders ??

Why merge with us?

With the culture and functionality in such a poor state, why would anyone willingly want to join us? We will be a poison pill to any partner. Countless case studies exhibiting cultures like ours destroying their new host entity.

Any higher-ups lurking that glanced into the palantir? None of this seems sustainable Is RV and Co just robbing us blind? I dont see the off ramp...

Campaign to White House

Not sure if this will amount to much, but with the recent problems with India and United States, I took it upon myself to go to the Whitehouse website and write a small letter to President Trump that he needs to stop the major Oil and Gas companies moving engineering and technical expertise to India. I cited loss of jobs, knowledge, and local taxes to communities. I finally stated we should not be moving our expertise to a country that wants to buddy up with Russia. Our oil and gas companies have become greedy and although this may not amount to anything, I would appreciate if others would write the White House on their website.

I’m from the Government and I’m here to help

Well, it’s over. Intel is no longer a runner in the game of capitalism. Suggestions for management, the board or the CEO are all irrelevant ant all his time. Intel is now a pariah to the mainstream capitalist economic system. Let it slowly sink in. Hire a therapist if necessary but It’s Over.

Changes Are Coming: Proposed Changes To H-1B Visa Lottery System

Proposed Changes To H-1B Visa Lottery System

The Trump administration plans to end or change the H-1B visa lottery, replacing random selection with a salary-based or weighted system. The Office of Management and Budget is reviewing the rule, which could take effect by March 2026 for the FY 2027 cap.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2025/07/21/new-trump-immigration-policy-ending-the-h-1b-visa-lottery/

A similar rule finalized in 2021 ranked applications by wage levels but was never implemented. That system would have excluded most Level 1 and many Level 2 workers, categories that include recent graduates and early-career professionals. The new rule’s title, “Weighted Selection Process,” suggests a lottery with higher chances for higher-paid applicants.

Critics argue this approach disadvantages international students and undervalues talent in lower-paid fields. More than 70% of U.S. graduate students in computer science and electrical engineering are international, and most are paid at Level 1 or Level 2. Employers in science, medicine and education could also be affected.

Opponents say the change conflicts with the Immigration and Nationality Act, which requires petitions to be considered in filing order. Business groups and universities warn the rule could weaken U.S. competitiveness by limiting young skilled workers. The broader issue remains the low annual H-1B cap, which covers only a small fraction of the labor force and leaves high demand unmet.

Numbers Rollup:

  • 85,000 total H-1B cap (65,000 regular plus 20,000 advanced degree)
  • 343,981 eligible registrations for FY 2026
  • Nearly two-thirds of registrations rejected due to cap limits
  • More than 70% of graduate students in computer science and electrical engineering are international
  • 83% of computer science PhDs and 80% of electrical engineering PhDs in U.S. R&D are foreign-born
  • Level 1 and Level 2 wages cover about 90% of recent international graduates

The Great Intel Fire Sale, Brought to You by Trump

Trump "America First" doctrine will mean the forced sale of Intel fabs outside of US. The fabs in Ireland and Israel are first on the chopping block, followed by the design centers in IDC Haifa and Bangalore. its over. Panther Lake will be the last product of Intel before selling this group to another fabless company.
Congratz LBT, you ki-led Intel. Good luck everyone.

Congrats to all! President Trump announces a 10% stake in intel by US Govt

This will be the first step to ensure continuous innovation and cash flow. Now we have hitched ourselves to US taxpayers to maintain competitive advantage.

Those garbage companies like AMD and TSMC must be shivering already in their taiwanese sweatshops.

Next step is to improve yields. Intel will surpass garbage AMD soon wait and watch

At least 600 CDC employees are getting final termination notices

At least 600 employees of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are receiving permanent termination notices in the wake of a recent court decision that protected some CDC employees from layoffs but not others.

The notices went out this week and many people have not yet received them, according to the American Federation of Government Employees, which represents more than 2,000 dues-paying members at CDC.

A Circus, Not a Career

NI / NSI / PIP = yearly contract renewal – Every damn year people live in fear like contractors. One bad rating and you’re out. Zero stability.
• Sycophants rule – If you know how to l___ b____, you get any role you want. Skills and hard work don’t matter here.
• Indian supervisors – The biggest cl___s. Non-transparent, arrogant, manipulative, and treat people like d__t. Absolute sh___eads.
• No per diem offshore – Imagine going offshore and not even getting basic allowances. ExxonMobil doesn’t care, you’re just a number.
• BTC hiring joke – They keep hiring in BTC without defining roles. Just adding headcount for show. Chaos everywhere.
• Supervisors shuffle every 6 months – New boss, new story, new “collaboration” n______e. By the time you adjust, they rotate again.
• Americans = presentation kings – Most of them don’t know real work. They only know how to make fancy slides and complete projects “on PowerPoint.” When things fail, they blame BTC for “taking jobs.”
• No career path – Don’t expect growth here. There’s no direction, no roadmap, only confusion.
• Culture of show-offs – If you can talk b__g and polish slides, you’ll shine. If you do actual work, you’ll r__t in the same spot.

👉 ExxonMobil doesn’t belong to employees, doesn’t belong to BTC, doesn’t belong to America — it belongs to a bunch of ah_ supervisors and s_nts who know how to game the system. Everyone else is disposable.

With Trump's 401k Expansion order, how will the Fidelity 401k change?

Been away from Fidelity for a while. I was wondering if the 401k expansion order the current cabinet is working on will effect how Fidelity's 401ks work.

As far as I know, it's just a bill, so nothing is guaranteed. But, if the bill passes, then 401ks will ideally have more potentially asset options to invest in. Those would be private market, real estate, cryptocurrency funds (NOT actual crypto), commodities (physical gold or gold contracts), infrastructure financing, and income. The Department of Labor is now working with the SEC to see how many of the 6 things can pass. Again, we don't know if any of them will pass. But if some of them do pass, then it'll be up to the employer to decide which of the options that are passed can be invested in.

So let's speculate. Of the six potential options, IF they become a real thing, which investing options would Abby and co. offer to Fidelity employees for their 401k? There's a lot of hulabaloo about the current state of dynamic work, but would this make Fidelity a more attractive place to work?

I know I mentioned this is the trump administration, but let's please keep political opinions out of this.

I love this video for reference, although I'm good at budgeting and financial literacy, I'm not THAT good. Plus, anyone can use this for educational purposes, too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WzlS8qEIKw

Ohio politicians are pi$$ed

https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/politics/ohio-politics/ohios-intel-plant-has-been-stalled-for-years-now-trump-moreno-husted-are-getting-involved-heres-why#google_vignette

Ohio's U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno has joined President Donald Trump in asking for tech giant Intel's CEO to resign due to his reported ties to the Chinese government. Moreno has also asked for a fraud investigation into Intel's continued delays on the state's long-awaited semiconductor manufacturing plant.

Constructive Dismissal

“Occurs when an employer makes an employee's working conditions so intolerable that the employee feels compelled to resign.” I’m a senior manager whose role was changed to essentially degrading admin work this year, through no fault of my own — politics rule in toxic workplaces. Anyone else hanging on by a thread with how they are being treated and hoping for a severance package by EOY?

Should I report this to HR?

What should I do?

My manager plays a lot of #politics with the team and plays the divide and rule card perfectly.

The team's morale is low and many in the team are of the opinion that the manager favors some and plays politics.

I joined this team right after college, was promoted 4 yrs ago and was told to keep continuing the hard work.

#Motivated, I worked even harder to prove my worth but my manager's politics interfered a lot.

At times I even disagreed with the tactics and soon figured out I wasn't among favorites.

Needless to say, my ratings are mediocre at best now, a #browniepoint here or there, a #gold star and a #participationtrophy.

The reasons I get is "you just got promoted", "there are others that need to be promoted", "you are among the top but need to wait another year" and again "you are almost there but no there yet".

I am certain that going forward, I am not going to be happy since there are others who are getting promoted just because they are the manager's favorites.

Should I go to the HR?

I do not have anything to prove against him and I feel frustrated, please advise.

How Politics run Chevron - the bureaucracy is killing us

Its sad but very true. #Politics do play into who's being laid off. Recently I have seen many good people getting moved into roles that are clearly a backwards step in their careers and others who have no experience nor demonstrated they are capable of producing better being promoted to senior positions.

These things happen at all companies but the toxic environment at Chevron has seen managers stick up for their friends and punish workers who continuously out performed their co-workers and make their mates look insufficient.

Even 1.0+ rated individuals are at risk if their are not best friends with certain managers. Pure #GOLD

How we stick it to ya

How we creatively fire you!!!

For a skilled senior manager within BofA, firing someone is a pretty straightforward exercise. It just takes a bit of patience and an ability to game the system of documenting alleged shortcomings by the chosen employee. I witnessed a well-orchestrated hit on a Band 3 work to perfection starting with a coordinated assault using the 360 review process followed up by interim reviews with negative business partner input (pre-arranged) that led to a DNM on the How. Follow that up with an impossible to meet Corrective Action Plan, and your decision to fire can be bullet proof. In an environment like we have today where managers have every incentive to cut staff, the task gets easier. You just need to force rank someone as a weak "Meets/Meets" and when the next round of layoffs arrives you have his/her head on a platter. This is not and never has been about fairness or doing the right thing. It is realpolitik BofAML style.

Trump is missing the biggest offshoring companies

"Such filings indicate that at least 450 IBM workers have lost their jobs since the beginning of 2015 because the company moved the work overseas. But the real number is most likely higher, since one-third of the filings either don’t say how many workers were affected or contain redactions that obscure the information. One filing, on behalf of laid-off workers in Connecticut, said 'IBM refuses to provide this information.'"

.

"IBM moved American jobs to India, China, Bulgaria, Egypt, Brazil and Costa Rica, according to the filings. On some of the forms, workers indicated they were required to train their foreign replacements in order to receive severance pay. 'We were managers who laid off our staff (and then were let go too),' one petition reads. 'My staff was, at its peak, a couple hundred people. We were only part of the large scale movement of production from IBM’s GTS [Global Technology Services] organization in the US to India.'"

.

"A handful of companies stood out. The 24 TAA petitions relating to IBM were far more than any other company we looked into,. . ."
