Rates are going up and applications tanking. Any insights? Not hearing anything from mgmt.

Certification Reimbursement

Has anyone been reimbursed for their certifications this year that are directly related to your job - such as CPA, CISSP, etc? I have never had to pay out of pocket for this for 15 years.

Propaganda warning

You may have seen an email arrive in your inbox from your RTO site leader. As a warning, all of the site leaders have to say roughly the same things: #Working on Amenities [many external businesses and restaurants just aren’t open and probably... — read more

RTO

WIM Efficiency Ratio!

WIM efficiency ratio at 85% despite cuts and layoffs. That is 40% above target of around 60%. I doubt real estate expense savings will make up the difference. I anticipate more cuts to employees and comp.

When will they start laying people off again?

I've been here for 18 months so I'm not yet sure how things work. Is there a specific period each year when layoffs take place (the bank I worked at previously always did major layoffs after the first-quarter earnings report, not sure why), or is it... — read more

Send your RTO concerns to Loudspeaker

It's easy to be cynical and say that Loudspeaker 'doesn't work' if you've had an idea that was rejected, but the nature of Loudspeaker ideas are summarized and tracked frequently by senior leadership (C suite included). The more people that submit... — read more

Some of you may get wfh soon

JPM reported a 42% profit loss for first quarter. If a recession happens in the next 6 months, what does WF do?

That’s how many employees Wells Fargo has. I thought we were laying people off??? This is more employees on staff than when Scharf started with the bank

How have external recruitment efforts been lately?

Any Wells recruiters on here? Curious how external recruiting has gone with mandatory RTO? Are candidates cool with this, or are they staying 'thanks but no thanks' before even getting to the interview? Seems like before too long, Wells will only... — read more

RTO discussion is not losing steam

I've been using this site for several years and I don't remember any subject that produced as many posts as RTO. I think this is an excellent indicator of how much this issue means to people and that it's something we're not ready to just let go of... — read more

Termination process

What does it really take to get fired here? What's the normal process of termination of an fte? Not laying someone off or cancelling their role, actually terminating their employment because they are a sh1**% POS.

I'll say it again

Having worked the last 4 decades, changes have occurred. Probably one of the worst is working from home. People can't communicate by way of wire. In person is the only true answer. It is hurting our company right now, as there are many who have left... — read more

Which is it?

I hear two different camps on this site. One camp says they hear that the C-suite wants us back in the office 5 days a week by the end of the year (OMG, I hope this camp is wrong). The other says HR can’t backfill positions (can’t imagine why…HA) and... — read more

who let all these d-mb kids work here?

It's not the executive leadership that's the issue here. It's all the lazy id--ts with sub par college degrees with zero experience who think they can demand how their employer assigns them the work they agreed to do when hired. Entitled overgrown... — read more

RTO - LOST PERSONAL ITEMS!!!

Over 2 years ago we left work on a Friday and basically didn't return for over 2 filippin years. We were told not to worry about our "stuff" as it would be boxed up and kept safe until our return. Welllll....they flippin lied. I haven't found any... — read more

Does everyone hate RTO as much as me?

I'm ready to be laid off

I've tried RTO and I hate it. I know I used to do it all the time but things have changed. I'm now at the point where thinking about being laid off produces feelings of hope instead of the dread it used to produce. I'm too chickenshit to quit on my... — read more

Does being loyal to the company pay off?

My parents have drilled this into my DNA - be loyal to your company, do the best work possible and things will work out well for you and your career. What do you think? Do you try to instill the same values into your own children?

Thought I liked my job, turns out i like wfh

I started at WFC in the middle of the pandemic. I loved it and told a bunch of friends it’s a great place, love my job , etc. Now that we are RTO I realize it is the wfh I like not specifically the job. Two to three days a week in the office is so... — read more
