When positions are “eliminated” some teammates are allowed to raise their hand to be riffed and some aren’t allowed to and are moved into other roles. Does anyone know why?

Does anyone know what the selection process is? I heard the business unit that I support received questionnaire to complete/pass judgement on individuals that did not directly report to them. What exactly is the selection process?

It feels like the leadership is intentionally creating a hostile work environment for whatever reason. It makes no sense to me.

I wouldn't put it past Truist to lay people off a few days before Thanksgiving.
