Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

For VP level positions the RSUs vest over a period of 4 years. RSUs from previous years vest on March 15th. If teammates are leaving Truist it’s in their best interest to wait until after March 15th. to put their two weeks notice in.

Why would someone stay 6 more months after they receive RSUs? A grade 112 only receives 8%. RSUs are only good at 113 and above. Many don't even get RSUs

I thought there was language within the RSU rules that say you had to stay 6 months after they are granted or they claw them back. Did that change? I would advise everyone to be very, very sure what those rules are before making a decision about when to leave.

I've been on the lookout for 110 to get AIP, so the more people who resign in March the better. Thank you all 🙏

Why put in a notice? People are being let go same day.

Management thinks people are stupid and sends email stating project STAR is “successfully complete”. Why does that email come out couple of weeks before bonus/promotions/ salary revision announcement?! Seems HR asked managers to postpone their conversation until last week of February, instead of having them now.

Why wouldn’t u wait until a thousand hours and pick up the pension too?

I am putting in my 2 weeks notice on 3/15 after bonus and RSUs vest. 👍🏼 I have been talking to another bank for a while and just received offer.

We don’t get bonuses ever so I can’t relate

OP here. Trying to gauge who else is leaving Truist after bonus payout on 3/12. Also if one puts their 2 weeks notice in so that their last day is the date of bonus payout, Truist may not pay you your bonus, as it is discretionary. Always secure the bag first.

Maybe I'm missing some key info, but why wouldn't you put your two weeks in before that, such that your last day is the date of that payout?

That's pretty normal.
Why would you leave money on the table? This seems like a smart money move.
