Does anyone know how leadership is determining who stays and who goes?

To the person who said hST teammates were okay, don't believe them. I was one of three hST people let go from my team, none from hBBT. It just so happens that they reposted one of the jobs for down in Greenville. A bunch of hST peeps just got the axe in the cashiering department too.
How do they decide? The play darts every two weeks .
Layoffs are never over
I thought we were done with layoffs.
I'm hBBT, got a raise today and a better bonus than last year.
It’s hard not to take it personally when you lost your freaking JOB. Those that say “don’t take it personally” have never lost their job. Been through it before. Thankfully I already had another job, but if I hadn’t, it would have been a very different story. Try having some compassion.
Here is how it lays out with two things: how much you cost the company (those older cost more in health insurance, etc) and whether you are hBBT. I agree with earlier poster: I came to hBBT closer to the conversion. Kelly King sc--wed over his employees. They are being shown the door. The company that had a strong brokerage firm, more respected bank and brand was sacrificed by Kelly King and he didn’t think twice. Now he’s on the golf course happy as a clam.
I was the most expensive on my team and hBBT. It was those reasons that I was selected. On the bright side it resulted in a severance package and a 45% pay increase at a place that isn’t sinking. So I am grateful to the a--hats leading Truist.
I thght we were safe lol. Back to my resume
100% heritage bank has something to do with it. Take a look at the leadership at any level and tell me it’s not heavily weighted to hSTI. Not a coincidence or a matter of being a top performing teammate
It’s salary, they’re trying to hit a targeted amount it’s up to each manager to decide who to cut to reach the amount
If you are legacy BBT you’re gone. If your legacy hSTI, you’re fine. If you’re a leader and not in Charlotte or Atlanta, you should be worried.
@vuw+1rjFQEzH in most areas of leadership it seems people agree that hSTI won the war and have installed their people below, so surprised to hear otherwise of preferential treatment to ex-hBBT.
Salary, where you were geographical and hSTI not necessarily in that order. Performance and skills had no factor in the decision. For those who don’t believe that being hBBT was a factor you’re delusional.
@ivd+1rjFQEzH Basically. I know plenty of people who where good performers and met or exceeded their goals and were still laid off or demoted. ...Not sure why we kept some of the people we did. But that's another topic.
They’re just looking at numbers on a spreadsheet. Don’t take it personally
