Improving our efficiency ratio has been a goal for some time. I haven't heard it mentioned as much recently as it was when Charlie started but obviously it's still a huge goal. I've certainly seen people leave - displaced, quitting, businesses sold... — read more

Whatever became of the most recent employee survey?

Why even bother with annual employee surveys? just like is previous years, they threw some lipstick on a pig, talked about the results for about a minute and that was it. It has been crickets from all levels of the organization (aka the firm)

Uptick in LOAs

So many people are taking leaves of absence. It's the one lever we still have. The significant increase is obviously due to RTO mandate. WF would be wise to reassess its stance and leadership, given that companies don't achieve their goals when the... — read more

Wells Fargo - Enterprise Risk Layoffs

Layoffs happened today in Enterprise risk. Wasn't surprised, the last three months I have been writing up procedures on what I do and training staff in India.

Who's the brain trust behind "VDI"?? Id--t

Good Lord. So far today, I've had to reboot 3 times and finally was able to get past 5 times of "remote connection failed" before i was able to get onto VDI...and now my outlook is wonky (yes technical term). I am in some sort of safe mode and I'm... — read more

Take a step back

WFC is just a job, plain and simple. Don't get caught up in the whole "going over and beyond" mindset because what you'll end up with is a higher bar for what they expect from you and that's it. Trust me, keeping it at a reasonable level saves you... — read more

Workplace Technology

Most of my team classified as remote

So now that you can see on Workday who is classified as remote, I see that when I travel a few managers up the chain, almost 2/3 of my IT group is classified as remote. This surprised me as my boss made sure to tell me repeatedly I had to come into... — read more
