EAM Group

Here's an idea: Fire every manager in the EAM group and start over. A group of 3rd graders could do better.

Can’t figure this one out

My boss tells me some people from the south can go work in the north, now why are we doing this when we are all short handed? And what are we going to pay more to those folks? I don’t get the thought behind this “plan”.

Stock disparity

Our CEO has been gifted 755,000 shares of DEN, MA 285k, JM 150k. How about you? Zero for me, just some lousy DNRRW

Anxious to leave

I am aware that there are many better places that give employees higher pay and better benefits, but still it is not easy to start from scratch after almost 12 years here. I’m pretty sure most stay here just because they are too anxious to leave? — read more

Attrition

A lot of talk about people leaving the company. Honestly I can't see a lot of people leaving at my location. Is attrition really unusually high, or have the rumors without merit started going wild for now reason?

Denbury protects incompetent and lazy employees

There is a guy fooling around at work and the manager doesn't even notice it. Why does this bother me? It bothers me because the work he needs to do and for which he is paid, is done by others instead. Why does Denbury protect such lazy and... — read more

Management and raises

Here is what I was thinking when I heard the remarks during the town hall. If memory serves me right our CEO was granted over 700k shares worth $18 million in 2020. At the price our stock hit this week $84, that is worth almost $62 million. We won’t... — read more

HR Dept.

2 resignations this week in a dept already stretched thin. What gives????

Middle tier mangers

The question I personally don't have an answer to is why does middle tier management make life he-l for employees? It can often be heard that they are victims of executive abuse too. But then why are they trying to make others' lives miserable?

Stop hiring and give raises!!

We are posting new jobs every week. 2 years ago oil was at $30/bbl. Did we not learn anything from the last 10 layoffs?! Why don’t we hire back all of those we kicked to the curb?

Conserving Oil

Given the escalating tensions in the Ukraine and Russia and future potential shortages/rising prices of oil in the U.S., has any consideration been given for additional days to work from home? Seems like it would be prudent to conserve national... — read more

Bonus

Why did the bonus % decrease from what we were told a few months ago? Anyone get an explanation? Not complaining, just curious?

Wfh

Love working at home! But enjoy the in person connection with my co- workers as well. I love the hybrid setup. Regardless of WTH or not I think growth is exciting! Even if WFH, employees still need an office workspace, so the fact that they are... — read more

Why come back?

I’m not scared of COVID, but I still can’t make much sense of the push to be back in the office. I spoke to a couple of people today who were excited to see coworkers, but also questioning the need to jump back to the 45 minute commute and lack of... — read more

Better salaries and benefits

I am very interested in how the situation will develop in the future. Will this company eventually offer higher salaries and benefits when it realizes that talented people are leaving, or will it in a few years become a company of greatest... — read more

They won't be able to replace anyone

I'm still getting emails "My last day will be on...". So why does this bother me? It bothers me because I notice that hiring is getting slower and slower and that the company is just having problems with replacements. That's why I have more and... — read more

Raises

Instead of vaccines I have another complaint. My boss told me my raise yesterday. They bring up how expensive it is to live and gives us employees this low of a raise. My dad on social security got double the raise I did at a company bragging on... — read more

Testing Policy

Vaccinated and Boosted people are officially contracting and transmitting C19 today in real time. The CDC head, Dr. Fauci, and even Psaki all confirm this statement, yet Vaccinated and Boosted people are NOT required to test weekly? This is very... — read more

Omicron

Not too excited at the prospect of catching Omicron! If I worked outside or had an office I might be more comfortable.

Another blow up In CO2 field

Well denbury… how many does that make you’ve “swept under the rug” CK.. I think you were told this would happen again..and once again it did.. how many blowouts does that make in the last few years?? Just a little FYI for all the white collars since... — read more

What do they actually expect?

I was never a slacker. I love my job and it was never a problem to work a lot of overtime hours. However, this is really becoming too much now. Months ago, they added more work to my plate. When they saw that I can do it, they added even more. By... — read more

What value has M&R added to Denbury?

0 value and 0 cost savings. Still using outside contractors to make most repairs. The techs are scheduled busy work. What a waist. How many compressor inspections does it take before we trust our guys to complete them in house?

Minimizing the workload

During the six years here, I often had a lot to do, and sometimes I had almost nothing to do. Now, however, I have more work to do than ever and I prefer it than not having a job, but what especially frustrates me is when my superiors try to convince... — read more

Abbott’s Vaccination EO

This needs to be a law, not just an EO. Way to go Abbott. https://www.texastribune.org/2021/10/11/texas-greg-abbott-covid-19-vaccine-mandate/

Where’s HR?

Maybe our absurd HR leaders can help us with the covid or vaccine issue. Oh wait-yeah, I see the humor in that. How can we hire people who don’t like people (or themselves) to run the people department. 🙄

Why is it that mediocrities thrive here?

No offense but I’ve been here for years and wonder how some people have maintained their employment or been promoted. Incompetence all around. Exactly! It’s not that I think I’m the best worker ever and that there are no better ones than me... — read more

Hiring people

Doesn't it seem to you that it is easier for newbies here to get a job now than ever before? I don't want to offend anyone, but I'm a little surprised that people have been given jobs in positions that far exceed their competencies.

Maybe it's not a good idea

I wonder if it’s a good idea to ask for a raise if I want to keep my job here? The air is thick and I'm afraid of becoming a target or losing my job if I do so. Does anyone have any advice? I would love for someone to share their experience if they... — read more
