Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

They won't be able to replace anyone

I'm still getting emails "My last day will be on...".
So why does this bother me?
It bothers me because I notice that hiring is getting slower and slower and that the company is just having problems with replacements.
That's why I have more and more work to do. I don't know what their strategy is, but I'm pretty sure that finding replacements won't get any easier?

Hard not to think of the days gone by when HR employees actually liked people & wanted to make things better.

“Deal with it or leave” we’ve come a long way.

I’m sure the people at the top have great benefits and pay.

Have you not learned over the last 6 or so years that everyone is replaceable?

I have been looking at opportunities and pay is average, benefits are a bit below average. Denbury was once a leader in that area but not anymore.

When is the other bonus paying? Are they going to change that too to keep folks on the line?

Actually the salaries are very average for our industry and so are the benefits are subpar. Insurance is okay, retirement is okay but any espp or long term incentive isn't here so this is company isn't amazing by any means.

We have great salaries and benefits. If you don’t like it here then leave.

Better salaries and benefits.

Us and every other company out there. We gotta get some remote-only people who need a job from somewhere beautiful or start paying people 200k+ to live in soulless suburbia
