Thread regarding Denbury Resources Inc. layoffs

Can’t figure this one out

My boss tells me some people from the south can go work in the north, now why are we doing this when we are all short handed?
And what are we going to pay more to those folks?
I don’t get the thought behind this “plan”.

They have. They’ve reported and then they get fired. The ethics here are a joke.

Closed bid to all excluding Wood. What a joke.
Why don’t anyone catch this?

It's really quite simple.

Step 1: Hire some operators with little or no experience, train them, mold them and get them some experience and watch them grow into top notch operators then treat them like garbage until they reach thier breaking point and quit and go to work for better companies.

Step 2: Conduct exit interviews and do absolutely nothing with the answers you know are true but you don't want to hear.

Step 3: Earn a reputation in a couple of very rural communities as being the company that know one wants to work for and then wonder why nobody will apply for a very well paying job.

Step 4: Resort to having to scramble to bring operators from out of state.

At least someone else sees how crooked it is. I think I know who is getting their pocket lined on it because anyone that brings it up gets fired.

It’s hard to find people here and it doesn’t help the pay is pretty low.

They dont have a choice because no one decent applies for the jobs inthe north. Probably need more management I'm sure. Nothing to do with that crooked a-s agreement with wood I'm sure.
