2023 is going to be a bumpy year

I think the next year could be even harder for us than this year, because for them we are just numbers, expenses. I doubt it, but maybe someone is more optimistic that this will be a better workplace in 2023?

Consider this

Not defending PZ in any way, but ask yourself what you would do. Greed is a powerful human emotion. This is all public information. PZ owns roughly 186,000 shares of AIG stock. In December 2019 the stock was trading around $50 a share. After... — read more

Pay equity at AIG

Heard class action pay discrimination lawsuit against AIG imminent. There’s a reason why pay is such a taboo topic at AIG. Based on real data, massive pay disparities throughout company. And, the longer your tenure, the wider the chasm probably is... — read more

AIG Layoffs 2023

This is a master thread about AIG layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Play the game

Here's the thing, been here a long time. Never seen it this bad at the field level. The greed at the top that resulted in previous layoffs and outsourcing has created a talent vacuum at many levels, primarily filed staff and low level managers. So... — read more

Cashing their bonuses is the main priority

If you have been here for at least 10 years you have seen the same processes start over and over at least 3 times. At a certain point, you don't protest anymore, you are perfectly aware that 95% of the new great plans and ideas from upper management... — read more

Force curve for this year’s performance reviews

So who is excited about calibration sessions to force reviews into a curve? It’s the round tables all over again. Another way for AIG to say everyone is just average so no raises.

I'm tired of correcting other people's mistakes

My job has long been reduced to spending most of my time correcting other people's mistakes. I guess I'm not the only one? It often takes more time and drains me more than my actual work that has to be done. All this would not happen if the... — read more

To those still there, only one way to enact change

Leave! That’s the key here. Just get up and leave. They aren’t backfilling jobs and if enough people do leave everything will (finally) break down once and for all. At this point let it all fall down and see if Accenture can fully run the company -... — read more

Does he even show up to work? Ever speak to his soon to be laid off employees? Or just another DEI hire?

Wage ranges

So, I saw someone asking about bonuses… but how many people would be interested in the salary/bonus ranges by pay grade? I have some slightly out of date info I could share there. They adjusted the pay scales up a tiny bit a little bit ago, but this... — read more

What’s everyone’s bonus?

I want to see what everyone’s bonus is like. Am I getting gipped? I’m an UW and my bonus is 10% of my salary. I hear some people are getting 30% and even more. If you make a $100k, you’re getting 30k in pre-tax bonus? Without revealing who you are... — read more

WFH - Corebridge

Does Corebridge have a different WFH policy than AIG Corp. it’s seems most AIG employees are working 3 to 4 days in the office and Corebridge is 5 days from home. Is there a reason for that?

Don’t worry about layoffs

I wouldn’t worry too much about layoffs anymore.. for the middle and young generation. People are jumping ship and positions are not being backfilled. You are actually very valuable at this very moment and even if you do the bare minimum, you won’t... — read more

I think performance means very little for the reason that I am more valued here now that I put in half as much effort as before when I gave 120% of myself. Why some are still giving it their best and worrying about performance is beyond my... — read more

The Performance Review Scam is about to begin!

Any Info Regarding 4th Quarter Layoffs?

The end of the year layoffs are generally huge at AIG, since AIG is looking for good end of the year figures. It has been quiet so far this quarter, but obviously something is in the works. Does anyone have info about layoffs in the next 3 months?

Recent wave of people firing AIG, and manager starts talking about loyalty. I had to feign a sneezing attack to escape the room and laugh hysterically in the bathroom. Is senior leadership delusional and bipolar at the same time? Apparently so.
