So who is excited about calibration sessions to force reviews into a curve? It’s the round tables all over again. Another way for AIG to say everyone is just average so no raises.

Interesting that on the self evaluation the best you can choose to rate yourself is fully met. Looks like the days of above and beyond are reserved for executive bonuses.
You can thank the new CHRO for this. Doesn’t she know this has been done like three different times at AIG in the past 20 years with disastrous consequences? How low do you want employee morale to sink? How many more employees do they want to leave? Look at HR - they are basically non-functional now with the many talented employees that jumped ship this year.
The forced curve process is just another way to handle layoffs. The people forced into the lower levels of the curve are subject to being laid off, whether it is justified or not.
It's a never ending Groundhog Day at Aig! If you have been here for at least 10 years you have seen the same processes start over and over at least 3 times. At a certain point, you don't protest anymore, you are perfectly aware that 95% of the new great plans and ideas from upper management just die in the silence in a few months, once they cash their bonuses.
