The New Future of AIG: Retained, Rebadged, or Laid Off

What is happening in your area? PZ was recently given a 5 year contract by AIG. Is the plan to buy back as much stock to gift the stockholders with as much money as possible, and to shut down AIG within 5 years?

If your hope is to retire at AIG it had better be a very short horizon.

Yes, BD walked away with over $100 million after 5 years, PZ will do the same. It is for certain that this leadership team has a 5 year vision at most. That is plenty of time to wind down more businesses and protect the stakeholders. AIG will be broken into many pieces by that time so dissolving the company may not be the plan, just a strategy of selling and renaming segments until nothing remains. Corebridge was your first look at the future of all AIG business segments.

AIG has been winding down since the bailout, but management will never tell the employees that there is no long term future at AIG.
