So there's buzz about new jobs at Gallagher Bassett on thier AIG side. So the question is. If one of these positions is accepted by someone who got let go on September and getting severance, do we lose the severance? Technically we are "free agents" and the positions are at GB and would be considered GB employees, but would AIG shared services see it that way and continue severance payments?

You keep the severance. I know of 2 people that did this over the past 2 years.
The fact that you were let go from AIG and really want to return to a third party vendor to deal with the same dysfunction is problematic. Seek help.
