MN and DC employee RTO in July

Just heard that Minnesota and DC based employees will be required 4 days a week starting in July. The security traffic jam will be unbearable. At least the collaboration in the tiny boxes they call cubicles will finally fix the medical cost trend... — read more

The high level executives are concerned only about profitability, they'll bully, and harass lower level employees to work more.

You have to take a course every year, the code of conduct. "live by the code" is the theme, well not now. For people in the enterprise a long time, they see their colleagues fired and transferred weekly. If you have one "full time" job, you'll be... — read more

Realigned roles

Leads in C&S are being realigned…they were given the option to take demotions or to voluntarily resign…thinking more layoffs are coming

UHC/ sinking titanic!

Over the last decade, I have dedicated much of myself and my talents as a Registered Nurse leader at UHC. When I started 10 years ago, I thought I couldn’t have a better job. I was a nurse working from home while raising a growing family. My position... — read more

Get out

Left last summer and my only regret is not doing it sooner. My former team still slides into my DMs with horror stories of reorgs, pay cuts, the usual. Meanwhile, I’m actually using my PTO for once. Life’s too short for a job that makes you dread... — read more

If they keep you

It must be quite confusing and challenging to think about your future in this situation. If they are considering keeping and retraining you, it would be helpful to understand what role they're preparing you for. I can see how this uncertainty might... — read more

Layoffs in May

Any new update on what happens next? No townhall or meeting scheduled in my area yet. Hopefully this is a good thing. I guess we’ll wait and see what happens.

PTO

Are those who are being laid off losing their accrued PTO? I’ve been saving mine for vacation this summer but am wondering if I should be using it. I guess we can’t count on the 60 day notice from the WARN Act.

Sit back and watch the show

Here’s to hoping all the providers see these messages and know why they will never get their issues solved. It took a staff of over 300 to resolve problems. Now only 80 are left to do the work left behind.

Provider Advocacy Mass Layoffs Today (pex)

Provider Advocacy Mass Layoffs Today (pex). The team I was on was laid off except one Manager. Also on my way out got kicked in the teeth by being told my severance didn’t include total time at UHC but only with PeX. Way to crush someone even more. — read more

Who is getting fired for this disaster?

Wow- a huge earnings miss and a 22% decline in the value of the company in one day? Which senior leaders are going to be fired for this? Or will it just continue to be low level grunts who are laid off?

Any Updates on Lay Offs

Now that the VRSP portal has closed I’m sure they know where they need to cut and by how much… for those of us that did not take the package when will we know if we’re canned or not?

O&E Layoffs

For the layoffs that follow the the buyout, will those also have a last day of 5/1? Or would it likely be later and staggered by teams?

Buyout Accepted

Well, I’ve decided to accept the buyout offer. I’m hopeful that I’ll be approved to receive the VRSP payout. I’ve been with the company for 12 years, and I’ll certainly miss my job. However, I’m eager for a change and a new chapter in my life. I... — read more
