So you remember the Barclays presentation
That started all this. Bill had three jobs reporting to him, Head of Wholesale, Head of Consumer, Head of Insurance. Now he has a COO with to many things to list, Donta as Consumer head and goes outside the bank to WF for wholesale head. The BOD was... — read more
Their goal is to get us to quit
Think about it. They are creating a stressful and hostile work environment intentionally. Why else let it leak there will be cuts and then make us wait with no additional info. People will get tired of this and leave on their own. Which plays right... — read more
Joe Thompson hidden from the disaster he has led for four years.
This man has single-handedly demolished one of the most profitable and well respected lines of business in HBBT. The Wealth teams were some of the most profitable and productive and this arrogant “leader” came in and dismantled most of what made it... — read more

Purple Tuesday
Let's all embrace our purpose and T3 on this great Truist Tuesday
Who is left to lay off?
My team is half the size it was two years ago. Literally, they cut us in half but kept our work volume the same. And now we are worried that even more people will get cut. Who's supposed to do all the work? I'm guaranteeing you, if we lose more... — read more
Actively looking or just riding out the storm?
Who is actively looking/getting interviews vs just content to sit around and wait for it to be your turn to get RIFed?
They need to wrap this up before Thanksgiving
I don't want to be thinking about layoffs once the holiday season hits.
Layoffs starting this week
Trimming the fat in operations, non producing leadership roles and HR.
BCG, McKinsey, Bain
You all should look up the YouTube segment of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and his ripping apart of McKinsey. He alludes at the end BCG and Bain are probably doing the same unethical stuff. But the part where all these groups do is come in with... — read more

So… we wait … January???
What’s going on? Glad no layoffs were done yesterday buts it’s confusing how will they save all this money and no layoff? R they waiting for January?

Lays at the feet of one person. Kelly King trying to apparently create a legacy convinced the BBT BOD that this was the future. Sold out a solid bank to a direct competitor and then gifted that leader with taking it into the future. Turns out none of... — read more
Nothing about this was done right
I've been through layoffs before, but rarely when there was so little information available even as it was happening. I'm not sure who's responsible for this, but I really hope that person or people are held accountable at some point for all the... — read more

CCB into the new Org
Looks like David Weaver sacrificed most of his directs to save himself. He is on point to why his org was/is a mess. Smh
I am curious if Bill survives.
My assumption is the new Board leaves in place to assist with the RIF and consolidation. However, long term, Bill has not proven to be capable of managing a bank of this size and scale.

Now we wait… again… till December
More layoffs to come in Dec, Jan & Feb.
At least severance is the same
I was worried they'd reduce it even further.
What do we know about Wednesday?
Will there be more layoffs tomorrow? If the answer is yes, is there any way to know what will be hit?
Can we consolidate some REAL and RELEVANT RIF information in this thread?
When did or will this layoff happen? Which department/LOB/team was or will be impacted? If possible, provide some details about this layoff, eg. who's the leader of the impacted team, and when is the layoff date effective? Really tired of... — read more

Branch Closures in Virginia?
I heard a rumor that dozens of branches in Virginia will close. Has anyone else heard this? Do we know which ones or where the teammates will go?
As someone who was RIF’d yesterday
I still have to sign in and show up for work until my official last day. I have to play by the rules because the severance contract says it can be altered and changed arbitrarily at the banks discretion. The unethical nature of this is astounding. — read more
CFO Mike Maguire says the bank is making good progress, as it grapples with a string of high-profile executive departures.

What about tomorrow?
