Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Joe T

I have personally heard Joe Thompson speak many times. He has spoke with nothing but candor, compassion, and purpose. I fail to see why he is generating so much animosity. The only sensible answer is that we are yet again experiencing the endless and boundless wisdom of the most entitled generation to every step foot on this great country.

Joe is still operating under the shadow of his father, who wasn’t necessarily well liked but certainly a contributor to the growth of the bank years ago. His father walked the floors at 9pm each night and took note of who was there. Junior is a joke, everyone knows it, and it’s just a matter of someone having the gonads to step up and do something about it. It won’t be this crew, as I assure you Bill is incapable, Beau is a complete clown, and they seemingly have the reduced board in their back pocket. Let’s see what happens with compensation, then hopefully the shareholders will take action.

“The only sensible answer is…” the original poster says
Just disagree and move on …. Clearly there are LOTS of people with very different interactions with Joe. You have no idea who they are, when they were born or anything about them. The fact that you’re the only one defending JT should tell you a bit dude.

And one of the prime examples of his incompetence: his all hands call after the conversion where he said nothing but praises when the conversion he oversaw was a complete failure and sc--wup after sc--wup.

OK, Mrs Thompson, we’ll be nicer to little Joey.

OP must be looking for something to do until they can kiss the ring in the next Purpose Corner comments section. Joe T is not compassionate.

You failing to see does not equate to invalidating what others have seen and experienced under Joe T’s command. I have spoken to over 50 former Wealth teammates; Joseph’s leadership style was commonly mentioned as a factor in their decision to leave. Joe T had authority but never leadership over the Wealth unit. I’m Gen X, so don’t assume it’s a generational thing.

JT destroyed Wealth and should have been let go. JT was promoted instead.

Sounds like if the people under Joe T need to learn to do their job

Hard to say he's speaking with compassion when he brags about people under him working 48+ hours straight through the weekend. It's like he gets a sadistic thrill out of working his peasants to death.

This is a troll comment. First learn how to spell and then go waste your time elsewhere.
