Retirement Trophy

Did anyone else see The Source email and notice the new “trophy” that retirees will receive? Truist sends you a freaking trophy after you retire while saying there will be no money allocated for any retirement parties. POS

Overtime FLSA payments

Anyone hear anything more about the overtime payments? A number of us received an email last year about our jobs being retroactively coded as non-exempt, and we were told we'd be receiving payments for overtime worked.

First Union 2.0

I haven’t checked in a while…. Whew, that VSRP I took was the best thing I ever did. Truist sounds like sad and depressing place to work.

Bonus Season?

Are we expecting bonuses this year or a dissapointing email from Bill?

Keep an eye out for Billie Boy's Salary Increase

As the new year gets under way we should get some info on our wonderful CEO's pay package for 2024. I'll be keeping an eye out for the news, but others here can help as well if they find it somewhere. "Times are tough" so I bet it will "only" be a... — read more

Insurance Sale

Does anyone have any insight into the sale of Truist insurance. Sounds like today's interest rate environment is making it difficult to get a deal done. Would expect further right sizing regardless

Layoffs vs Leases

Just spotted on LinkedIn, and it rings true. "Crazy idea: instead of laying off your team, break your lease on your office. Save your rent money, pay their salaries, and let them work remotely. Thanks for coming to my TED talk."

Not so great bank anymore

*I actually worked for BB&T until a few months before the merger was announced when I voluntarily left for a better opportunity. At least in my region, I could see things beginning to take a different approach to client relations and treatment... — read more

Finding a new job

I still have my job, but I wouldn't be shocked if I get the boot in the next few months. My main problem is finding a good-paying job that's not a nightmare, especially for someone over 50. I've been searching online, and all I'm coming across are... — read more

What a joke-Billy Bob Rogers

Bill Rogers does not care about Truist or anyone that works for Truist. If he did, he would have voluntarily taken a cutback from his 13.24 million dollar salary to keep his frontline workers who make Truist money from losing their livelihood. It’s a... — read more

It’s time to accept what has happened and move on,

To all the hBBT people, myself included, it’s time that we come to terms with reality. For every battle, there is a winner and a looser. For the battle of cultures, SunTrust won, we lost, it wasn’t even close. Our culture is dead, it’s gone, and... — read more

Which segments/LOB's are growing in assets (if any)

Genuinely curious. Are we offsetting this bleed with some awesome deals in CIB or some segment I'm not very in touch with maybe? I assume not due to the rate environment -- but it feels like I must be missing something.

Merger of Disaster
