Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Out with the old, In with BIG BANK experience

Keep an eye out for reemergence of those "eliminated" positions. Regulatory pressure is so intense that qualified, dedicated, skilled staff are being ignored for roles due to lack of "big bank" experience. Roles in Audit, Risk and GCO are only considering candidates with Chase, Citi, Wells, and BoA experience. Surely they are top talent that the Big Bank didn't blink to let them leave.

DD suffers from Dunning-Kruger, lack of self-awareness, lack of empathy, and avoids/deflects accountability at all costs for the mess that is audit services. ALWAYS the smartest person in the room. The “big bank experience” narrative was nothing more than a pathway to enrich herself and her cronies, surround herself with a circle of trust, and push out the old guard.

Change should be better orchestrated. Truist has piled on to its mess with how it has approached these changes.

DM will be around another couple of years before she is fired or leaves. She checks all the boxes and no one will want to admit they made a mistake hiring her. The best you can hope for is limited damage from her destruction.

Demaio is a plague on this bank. Ineffective when it comes to Audit and regulatory matters. She was so bad, MUFG had to sell their profitable west coast bank to get out of regulatory mess.

I know enough to know the OP is mixing his fan fiction into the post

Does this mean DeMaio and her MUFG leaders can’t even get more of their former Teammates to come over? I guess after Brad fixes Technology in a year or so he can then fix the mess the Chief Audit Officer has made. His role as Chief Fixer and Consigliere to Bill is going to keep him busy, LMAO

It does help for folks to move around in their careers and gain different experiences and perspectives and not live in a world where they fall into believing SunTrust is the only way of doing things.

It also helps the organization to have new people come in with different backgrounds to challenge the status quo and push the organization to be better. Maybe the culture will become less like SunTrust over time.
