I can no longer focus on my work at all

Being realistic about the time and effort required to get a new job, I have enormous anxiety about what will happen if I lose my job. Anyone managing to stay focused at work?

Our manager tries to make us feel safe

It is interesting how much the manager tries to make us believe that our positions are safe. Anyone else have such a manager? I hope that not many buy into it so that later they don't regret not being more proactive in looking for new offers.

Waitinggggggggggggggggggg

I doubt we will get any useful info from TC tomorrow, he will probably give an usual corporate speech about economy, inflation etc, and not any specific details. Lot of people will be disappointed after waiting for so long. Just my take.

The number of those who would like to volunteer

I would most rather get a voluntary package and forget about this place. Also I think at this moment most people would be very happy to volunteer. True? This is the reason why GF does not offer voluntary packages first, because no one wants to be... — read more

How will GF attract talented people later?

After these cuts, I think it will be harder than ever for this company to attract talented employees. I would never come back here again. Leadership moves do huge damage to the company in the long term.

The primary needs are never to have happy employees

If you haven't learned by now - the primary goal is never for us to be happy and therefore more productive, but to boost stock prices and for the leadership to fill their pockets. It's all just business == > With that in mind, we should also... — read more

Remember how TC’s video said they respected the people feeling the stress of uncertainty and would make the moves as quick as possible? I’m sick of waiting, and will be surprised if TC feels safe in a room of 300 people to give out more bad news on... — read more

How GF reached to this low

I thing credit goes to TC for bring GF to this low where it is today. If you see, it was clearly coming all through these years but instead of telling truth, TC kept leaking lie that GF will survive with so called feature rich model. All BS. Anyone... — read more

If the layoffs are after global cast…

I don’t think they will be next week if after global cast as they usually like to do all five shifts over two days so would do Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday.

GF will survive and continue to make chips

Have seen countless down cycles over the past 30+ years. GF will survive and continue to make chips. Eventually it will get sold and change control. The semiconductor industry has had a spectacular run. This was overdue. It won’t even be a bad one... — read more

Many will regret that they invested so much effort

GF has been and always been a sewer

Protected Concerted Activity - Be a hard target
