How are people being notified? Do you receive an email or is there a meeting with your manager? Or something else? I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I've never been through a layoff before.

They have been able to recruit talents with the least possible costs, retain employees without having to increase their pay or to promote them, and provide support to managers in quieting employee protests.
