If your team wasn’t affected, congratulations - you’re among the lucky ones who won this round. If your team was affected, my condolences. Now, the rest of us have to double our workloads to keep things running, all for the same pay. We might have avoided being laid off, but we lost this round either way.

Work does not increase, but rather forgotten.
I don't see how your work would "double" unless there are only two folks on your team.
Even if reqs open it. It won't be in NY or high cost areas, but more so abroad or lower cost states. Either that or contractors.
