Hours a moving target

Ok. We went from a 9PM close to an 8PM close then back to a 9PM close. Why anyone thinks that making the store hours (big ticket) a moving target does anything other than confuse the customer, is beyond me. I get the staffing issues. But this is a... — read more

I work in probably the worst store

The atmosphere is toxic, manager is nervous, customers are few, the place is dirty... such is the store where I work. Sometimes it seems to me that every store is better than mine, even though I know they are all equally bad. I wonder if there is... — read more

“Tell us what you REALLY think”

We can all agree that Macys, specifically the store side, has been in a downward spiral for a while. Product assortment and quality has declined, covid slammed the economy, and staffing can be challenging. Sure there are a few glistening high volume... — read more

Hired too many people in our store

It’s extremely boring and no customers. I don’t know why they hired so many people to begin with only to lay them off again when business goes bad.

So dead, why we going back to 9pm closings?

We closed Sunday through Thursday at 8pm but now I see in February we are going back to 9pm closing and there’s even a 10pm closing for one day sale coming up beginning of February. It’s so dead, why are they doing late closings again?

Janitorial Cleaning

Does anyone know the company that does all the housekeeping at Macys especially in South Texas? Ever since they switch company its awful nasty dusty

It's not going to get any better

The main goal is to push people to order online, so they'll keep reducing headcount in stores in hopes customers will still want our products but will want to avoid the hassle of a half-empty store and get it from our website. The more people move... — read more

Anything will be better than retail soon

The current and future of retail is part time, open availability, with no benefits. It's basically becoming unskilled labor. Fast food pays better. This is perfectly put. Anybody who is still working in retail should be looking to get out as soon... — read more

Can Macy's not give packages?
