Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Another Macy's Executive Coming to Belk?

What is up with Macy's and all of their executives coming to work at Belk? Just heard we are getting another regional from Macy's in California, what makes everyone from there want to leave and come work at Belk?

It seems like only Macy's people get promoted at our company since it's so easy to get them to leave. We hear horror stories about what it's like working there, though it can't be that much different than working at Belk. Why is everybody leaving and are these good people or people the company was trying to get rid of anyway? It would be nice to have some insights if you can share.

Mine district went to Belk. She was actually very good. She was also my store manager and was actually very good at that. I wish her well. It is a loss for Macy's.

If Belk’s wants leadership and innovation they surely should not be recruiting from a dinosaur like Macy’s.
The Macy’s’ regionals do a whole lot of nothing..

Belk top exec A B is a great recruiter and a wonderful leader to work for. Recruits from her former employers and knows what to look for, innovation & leadership!

It's the retail merry-go-round. Get off at Macy's, if it doesn't work out you get back on the carousel and try again.
