A new wave of store closures? OMG. It's not my intention to cause panic, I'm just checking to see if anyone knows anything about it, because my colleague's heard that a new wave of closures (just a rumor) is coming very soon.

Macy’s next earning call is Feb. 22. My guess is that they will announce the remaining store closings on or before that date, so that stock analysts don’t lower their ratings. https://news.yahoo.com/macys-closing-approximately-60-stores-170903136.html
I have a migraine now also LOL. All caps and lack of spell check. Hamilton has been getting worse and Macys is the only anchor left from what I understand. Once Atlantic City tourism went downhill it affected the mall big time. Used to be a pretty busy store and the people there have always been decent.

MACYS SAID 125 STORES WILL CLISE 2022 AND 3023 .MACYS IN THE HAMILTON MALL IN MAYS LANING NEW JERSEY OWNS THE BUILDING. OUR MALL IS A DUMP NOW. WE HAVE OVER 35 OTHER STORES CLOSED DO TO COVID. OUR FOOD COUT ONLY HAS 4 PLACES TO EAT . ALL THE RESTURANTS CLOSED. MACYS USEED TO BE A BEAUTIFUL STORE. I WORKED THERE FOR 35 YRS. ITS VERY SAD WHT I SEE. ITS GOING DWN THE TUEBS. YOU SHOULD SEE OUR HOUSE DEP. OUR MACYS IS A JUNK STORE NOW . SO EMBARRASSING TO SEE. ITS LIKE LOW LINE STORE. I KNOW ITS NOT JUST OUR STORE EITHER. OUR JC PENNYS AND SEARS STORE IS GONE TOO. OUR MALL LOOKS LIKE A MORG.
Never know what to expect with Macys. Have to wait and see unfortunately. Very curious there are other stores in NJ and PA waiting to hear about. Unfortunate for Livingston despite the Fulfillment expansion that mall is not great though. One of the other sites I’m aware of Macys owns the building so no lease to worry about. Doesn’t mean they won’t make a move though.

I can confirm Livingston will be closing by the end of October. Macy’s did not renew their lease with the mall, which expires at the end of the year. Not even fulfillment could save it.
This is old news. Macy's said last year they would be closing more stores this year, they just didn't say how many, where, or when.
