This company is just full of surprises. A hiring event at the beginning of the year. Smart move!

College students do not want to work for a dowdy company like Macy’s. They do not shop at Macy’s because Macy’s has nothing trendy to offer.
Macy’s management can have all the hiring events that want.
Remember half of Macy’s management have their heads in the clouds and the other half have their heads
up their a—.

The full-timers or long time employees will never adapt to the changes coming this June. Macy's will have alot of new employees and hiring events this year. This company already have a plan, so either adapt to the changes or just quit that's way it works.

Eventually the company is going to hire alot of college students, who are interested working part-time for $15 per hour. Alot of them prefer working for 15 to 20 hours a week. There's going to be plenty of coverage at the sales floor for now on. Once the new " Innovation Selling Program" is in full effect in June, the long time employees that are not on board with this program, Macy's will already have your replacements. I think the company will start having alot of hiring events this year, just in case employees will start to quit because of the changes in June.

Retired red badge here.....with almost 34 hears of service. My contributions to this forum over the years are NOT imaginary. I was very well respected during my career, was chosen Manager of the year on numerous occasions with other recognition. After keeping my mouth shut for most of my tenure.....yet keeping my eyes open and ears on alert, I am slowly beginning to tell about my experiences with this company. I saw and heard plenty.

@gpm Good to hear. You obviously run a profitable store.

I run a store. We are not doing that. We don’t ever want to do that. We have a vested interest in keeping full time, they are usually more reliable. All of this talk is inaccurate. You people love drama and imaginary stories.

They're looking to replace full timers with part timers.
