Thats why we need a union for CL25 and below

If we had a union, similar to that of the government, then IOL would not be able to lay people off that easily. They also would not be able to bully people through the ranking system. We need to start a union for CL25 and below

Future at IOL

If you are a visible minority + experienced hire then your future at IOL is bleak and you need to look for something else because chances are you are going to be laid off.

Last day today

Feeling kind of relieved that I don’t need to see those double faced puppet managers who do as they are f—ng ordered by their XOM bosses. I don’t have to worry about a darn ranking system that no one knows how it works. I don’t have to see the... — read more

Brighter days are ahead.

I got laid off yesterday. If I didn't, I would be agonizing if and when round 2 is coming, anticipating how brutal my next PDS feedback will be, and hating some awful coworkers that are selfish human beings (IOL has great people but also some... — read more

Company not worthy

In the past 5+ years I have noticed leadership failing and it is not entirely surprising given that people who are currently leading this company does not know sh*t. We saw that when MT (a past great leader) asked the question during the employee... — read more

Institutional racism at Imperial Oil

Job cuts were expected given the current economic environment caused by covid19. Vast majority of terminated jobs have been and will be from minority groups. Not sure if managers realize this but it’s pretty obvious. It’s the elephant in the room... — read more

They could have done this better

First rumble today

Imperial bailing out of Syncrude. Sands are consolidating. Expect further rationalization on production side today. Refining makes money, production in sands does not.

What is IOL’s plan

I know IOL is always looking at XOM to tell them what to do, but still thought someone in IOL might have some idea of what is going on. Is there anyone in this chain with any internal info on what Kearl and Cold Lake will do?
