Was on a zoom call this morning, Kearl asset manager announced that out of 35 layoffs in the Upstream, 30 are at Kearl. All will be MPT site based positions, no Calgary.
We won’t know until the end of the month if everyone affected has been informed as well.

This was last year study result. Random firing will start again from June both in Calgary and sites. Almost all oil companies had pay cut up to 35% to cope up with current environment. Unfortunately, Imperial isn’t going to that direction. They will fire as many as they can as they are sending all work to overseas. Greed of upper management(Most of them are not belong to Alberta) has ruined this company. It’s a shame to take stocks and bonuses when you are firing your employees by name of loss.
