With DFA having to now sell off three plants, including Franklin MA, will the original owner, finacial advisor for dfa, Al Bernon purchase back the company. Rumor has it Yes. Any insight?
Hiland/Prarie Farms
I just have to say as a consumer. The milk quality and flavor is nothing close to Deans or PL milk from Le Mars. I drank Hiland in Omaha. And was nasty. Good luck trying to sell this garbage product SIOUX FALLS.
So it's final (for most)
https://amp.benzinga.com/amp/content/15939969 "Dean Foods Company ("Dean Foods" or the "Company") today announced that it has completed the previously announced sales of substantially all of its assets, including the sale of the assets, rights... — read more
Look at that!!!
I told all of you Hiland was putting in an offer to buy a Deans plant. And look what happened. They bought Sioux Falls and turned it into Prairie Farms. I called this 2 months ago.
What about prairie farms
Any inside scoop on the plants that were purchased by prairie farms?? Are they gonna come in and cut routes, shutter plants, etc... I was worried at first when dfa passed us over, I do feel somewhat better about prairie.. been with deans a long... — read more
DFA health plan to increase 55% in 2021
Just wanted to inform all of you before censorship. Again. Not giving out source otherwise I would have no crumbs to feed you on here.
DFA just announced price cut to member farms
Total bs. Effective May 2020 you get paid the full price for only 85% of your March production BUT they purchased Dean Foods for $433 million. This is what the monopoly of agriculture has created in the dairy, beef, & pork sectors. One or very few... — read more
DFA take over.
If the deal must be finalized by Friday, when will be DFA's first official day after new owner?
Chemung (Harvard, IL) and DePere, WI
Can anyone confirm or deny that DFA is shedding DePere and Chemung as assets to make this sale go through. Any thoughts of closing Cedarburg (Kemps) instead. Rumors are that there are interested buyers in Chemung and DePere, I have names but this... — read more
Worried
My manager in Texas is being let go tomorrow to make room for 3 demotions above him. He’s the best manager I’ve had I feel so bad for him because they told him last week and are making him work. I’m worried I’m next or at least a pay cut. Maybe I... — read more
DFA Wages
If you can answer, what is DFA wages?
DOJ should block the DFA deal
DFA has a long history of price fixing. How many times have they been sued by the different states/DOJ?
Stock prices
I don't care if the DFA deal goes through or if the Borden merger goes through. I just want those stock prices to go back up!
More bad news for Berkeley Farms
Walgreens has switched to Crystal Creamery.
DOJ Decision
I dont see how the DOJ can approve DFA buying Dean Foods now that there is an alternative plan that wont result in a monopoly in the dairy industry. Independent farmers are very worried that if DFA buys Dean Foods, their farms will be have to either... — read more
Will the Trump Admin allow DFA to monopolize the national dairy market?
There are reports that DOJ will allow DFA to buy Dean Foods assets. DFA will end up controlling the entire dairy market and will be able to manipulate milk prices. They have been doing that with Deans and got sued for it but now they can do it as one... — read more
what will happen
what next, Dollar Generals are slowly leaving , will there be route re-orgs and will they give us rt drivers our full routes back and layoff pod drivers? what is going to happen? who is buying us DFA or Bordens
Even though Yes vote, can CBA's still be struck down?
Even though it's a yes vote, could someone explain if legally, the judge could still strike down the CBA's with a court order? Something I haven't seen anyone ask, or comment on yet. It would just be nice to have some reassurance of what COULD... — read more
Teamsters shoved in hard
How they put such a good spin on 5000 people losing a pension funding job is almost criminal
Dean Food/Borden Merger?
the bondholders of Dean are proposing a merger with Borden. They have the cash ready. DOJ will probably prefer this over sale to DFA. Can someone confirm this?
Corporate Lay Offs Coming Now
150+ being laid off by Dallas Corp starting today. Very few being pulled over to DFA. I hope some of you were smart enough to be searching for a new position somewhere.
Good ol DFA has you by the BALL$ now.
Court approved, stamped, sealed and delivered. Take it or leave it. It’s their show now.
When will vote results be communicated?

DFA To Re-Open In Northern California
Hayward, CA. Dean Foods Berkeley Farms facility to close. DFA plans to re-open in Northern California with purchased customer rights.
This deal is looking worse and worse
The Justice Department, in a letter to creditors last month, said a Dean-DFA deal appeared to threaten “serious risk of anticompetitive harm” to farmers and consumers. The letter, made public in court papers, said Dean and DFA would need to agree to... — read more

DOJ decision soon, to include DFA shedding some assets
That didn’t take long, in DOJ time, and will include some plants originally in the package not being purchased by DFA. If you are a Dean employee and near a DFA plant good luck.

Anyword on Franklin Ma. Plant and haverhill depot drivers
Layoffs
Here in Indiana we are already seeing driver layoffs
18 of the 44 plants will be closed down.
18 of the 44 acquired plants will be shut down and all production consolidated. Affected employees will be offered jobs at the remaining plants. DFA is in the process of piecing plants together to meet needs not only for local farmers but to cut... — read more
How many plants are dfa closing?
So how many plants is dfa going to close? Will they close more dfa plants than Dean's plants? Dfa plants are probably bottom of the sc-ap heap otherwise they wouldn't have bought so many Dean's plants. time will tell I guess
Will current drivers need to reapply?
I have been trying to figure out what will happen to the current drivers who deliver to schools, etc. Looking at DFA ‘a current model they get an hourly wage. We already work so much overtime with these enormous routes and not to mention packing... — read more

DFA and Dean Foods are draining the swamp, and they are coming for you next! The CBA's will be struck down, and DFA will have their way with you! To those who say, "oh well I will just vote NO, and that'll show them who's boss!" Well I hate to be the... — read more
