Just got done meeting with HR and plant manager. After 39 years they thought it was best that I retire and give up my position to a younger boy that I have been training the last 2 months.
I accepted. But, feel violated.

There are some exceptionally gross human beings (and I use that term loosely) on here. This guy felt like he was forced to retire and did. Who are any of you to question his work ethic?

That’s the feeling left for the one’s who are staying through this sh– show! It’s like death and taxes, No ONE or no PLANT is safe going forward!
Sounds like you were asked to retire and agreed, not forced.
