Jobs are still aplenty

I started looking after a friend warned me that with the recession looming, now might be my last chance to leave my current job and find something equal or better. Well, I've been looking for the past month and I've already had several interviews and... — read more

raises among the lower

It has come to the attention that company has given raises to those who earn under 60k. Major adjustments for some. Nothing to the employees over that amount. So if are are 15 year employee making over that threshold, even a dollar, you get... — read more

How is anybody able to deal with management?

Horrible management, the worst I've ever had the displeasure to work for. First of all, most of them are incompetent. Second of all, they love to micromanage our every move for no good reason. And third of all, they use intimidation tactics to keep... — read more

Hybrid Working Models

In NYC, and other cities, given the uptick in violent crime and as----t in general, one would think the logical move would be for the company to provide hybrid models for ALL employees, not just management/clerical. Instead, ViacomCBS seems hellbent... — read more

Layoffs

Given the plethora of veeps running the abysmal CBS morning show, and two co-presidents to boot, it's inevitable layoffs of the underlings must occur. Remember, this is the network that fires TDs when ratings slump.

Union Contract IBEW

If there's any truth the company may sell after settling, whether to or Amazon or anyone else, it might behoove the membership to vote no, regardless of the contractual offer. Why give the present management an easy out?

Amazon Rumors

Rumors regarding an Amazon purchase of a Paramount content-only transaction making the financials this evening. Unknown as to what will happen with the brick and mortar parts that remain; possible liquidation.

Paramount Global ? Really??

So you have enough money for yet another ENTIRE rebrand, but you don’t have enough to staff employees? Quit stringing us along! We are full time and deserve benefits!!

Things to change

The list of things that should be changed here is so long, that it is not easy to single out just one thing that would be the highest priority. What would you change here first?

Broadcast is balderdash!

Sounds like Bakish and co. are doing everything they can to distance themselves from the affiliate model and stream on. Better hope they develop better content, because streaming Ghosts ain't gonna cut it.

Paramount Global. How does that sound to you?

Perhaps more importantly, Q4 earnings miss the estimates. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/viacomcbs-adds-record-9-4-million-streaming-subscribers-in-quarter-11644960239

Mask Mandates

at ViacomCBS seem a bit hypocritical when talent, on every show, regardless of distancing, can be seen sans mask. So, masking only applies to behind-the-scenes workers? Also, why should masking apply to those who have already been post positive? It's... — read more

Management...

is never around at CBS. Company policy now allows them unlimited vacation, which translates to very little work being done. Great strategy for a business.

Dekoupil the new Jeff Glor. Next on the block? G. King. No kidding. News purge. And, it took two co-presidents to do this? Divest now.

my favorite thing to do

Watch all the CBS errors, especially during live sports, and know that the place is loaded with bloated meeting dwellers who'll bamboozle the management levels above them and do nothing to fix the problem. It's riotous!

Backstabbing is the new norm

More and more bangin' out because of the Rona. The rest work from home anyway. Only the labor folk remain, enhancing the Bakish spongy empire. Weak legs?

Zoo

It's always productive when you have a manager who looks at his subordinates as so many monkeys in a cage, meanwhile genuflecting to his own upper tier but offering little to the industrious common cause. THAT'S a prize but never a surprise.

PBEs need to walk out now more than ever. Viacom’s “contract” employees need to stand up for themselves now more than ever. The company cannot function without you.
