I get it, layoffs are part of life. No one is begging P+ to keep us employed. We're adults/professionals and will survive this. We already knew it was employment At-Will. However, would be nice to know right now where we stand with respect to employment status 6 weeks from today. This way we can plan our job search, etc. That's not to say some of us aren't already talking with recruiters. A 6 week wait seems rather excessive to me, and an unusual and cruel punishment. If you're letting us go, we deserve to know right now!

It's a nice thought, but zero chance.
Nick's layoffs were cruel. Department zoom (over 150 people) where we were told we'd either be staying, or going, via email.
the emails went out in alphabetical order, one by one.
it was excruciating.
