I strongly believe that Paramount needs to unionize. This entire situation would not be happening if we had a union. Layoffs every 6 months are abominable, and we deserve more stability in the workplace. Thoughts?

@2voz+1u0JXnnG the problem with the union is the management both from the company and union side. If you know, you know.
I remember working with some video union people, they were sometimes bad at their jobs but I was so envious of their union contract I let it slide. I know a higher up in DSA who suggested teaming up with an existing tech union. That would be the day :') if I survive these cuts and the dust settles, I might just test the waters...
Bolshevism, sheer bolshevism.
Layoffs happen with or without a union. It's parameters laid out in a contract that would control the terms of how much compensation would be afforded to each person let go and so forth. In addition, although general working conditions and pay might increase for employees retained, it might also exacerbate dismissals due to the company's bottom line.
