Should we expect layoffs soon?

Sometimes it turns out that layoff is not a bad thing. I personally think for many here a layoff would give them a much needed kick to get out of this misery. One should always look on the positive side as well. Given recent developments, the... — read more

Stock price down 25%

Stock crashed 25% after Q1 earnings when ELT was trying to get it up. What could this mean? More layoffs?

How much do you care to keep this job?

Everyone is saying that it has become unbearable to work here, and at the same time, they are still giving it their best. I know people who hate working here and yet are among the hardest workers. If it's so bad here, isn't it better to focus more... — read more

No high hopes

Apart from the people who are here only until they find something better, only those who still believe and hope that something will get better remain at NCR. I listened in disbelief to my colleague the other day who is convinced that everything... — read more

Micro micro managers

They have to find a way to be right Even when they are wrong Fu-k productivity and the client. Micro managers have to be made ok. They put you between the interest of the client and their ego What’s the natural progression and why is any one... — read more

Expectations are unrealistic

Their expectations of employees are unrealistically high. Management tries to convince us that nothing we do is enough, even though most of us do double workloads. NCR acts like it’s the only gig in town and the only place where we can work. I am... — read more

Fun Thursday’s are not enough to keep morale high

I see all these smiley faces at fun Thursday’s acting all happy but little do they know they are next in line to be laid off. NCR does not care how good you are at your job i repeat Ncr does not care about performance it’s all about finding your... — read more

More layoffs happening April 1st

They (manager) were given a choice: leave or get cut. And nothing to do with their performance - their role is being sent overseas.

What would real leaders do?

I think it is wrong to call those at the top "leadership". Because, we all know what a real "leader" is and what the characteristics of real leadership are. NCR, in that sense, doesn't have a real leadership. Sometimes I try imagine what real... — read more

When do you expect next layoffs?

What if we hit another recession in a month or so. If oil continues to be expensive we'll have a recession, we always do.

I regret applying here

I finally gave notice. NCR is just a waste of time. From this perspective, working here should be considered as an option only if there is no other. Now I'm trying to remember the reason why I thought this was a good place to work. I probably had... — read more

Was Mike bullying Patrice on the last webcast?

It seemed like she hurt his feelings when she said he was a difficult boss and then he started being very passive aggressive to her. Maybe I was imagining it but some weird energy up there for sure

It is difficult to regain motivation

I have no motivation to work here at all. I'm only here because I still haven't gotten a new job. How do they even expect employees to stay motivated to work? No one believes their false promises anymore. I wish I had some motivation, it would be... — read more

Not everything is bad news

If we have to close our offices in Eastern Europe (not just Russia, who knows how things with Serbia will play out in the long run) maybe the management will realize that it's not as profitable as they thought to outsource so much work. I might be... — read more

NCR & Russia

NCR donated funds to UNICEF and that's a good start but when will they join the pool of multinational companies that have severed ties and pulled out of Russia ? NCR maintains 2 offices in Russia.

How it's decided who to lay off

Was RIF'ed in 2018 after 44 years. Managers never know, they have zero input to the process. Decision made at EVP level. They call HR for list of names over 40 years old and more than 15 years of service. Then check to see if they are part of the old... — read more

Performance

It is no longer clear to me why I made the effort to have a good performance. It seems to me more and more that neither hard work nor performance means anything at NCR. I no longer think it’s crucial when it comes to layoffs? Those who put in... — read more

Merit increases in Serbia and US layoffs coincidence?

Heard they are doing merit increases in serbia becz employees started leaving in numbers and were finding better pay elsewhere. This is being offset by laying off US based employees. 1 US employee equals 3 in serbia.

Serbia supports Russia.

Serbia refuses to sanction or support sanctions against Russia. They enjoy a cozy relationship with Russia and Vladimir Putin. Google it. You picked a great partner NCR.

RIF List

Can anyone in a managerial position please let me know if they had any input on who from the team gets rifd? How long before are manager notified?

US based Layoffs

If layoffs continue at this pace soon there will be no US based employees left to call back into the office. Laying off One US employee gets you 3 in Serbia and not to forget new college grads. Whenever a new batch comes in it is followed off by a... — read more

Bill and Dennis

Bill and Dennis had their puppet pets strolling around taking attendance in the office today. They must think people are stupid, we know what they're doing. Morale is at an all time low in this company.

TIME TO GO Bye Bye Mullet Boy

It would be great to get the package and leave

I'm sick and tired of this company. Ever since I started working here I feel like I am no longer the same person I used to be. Constantly some pressure, stress and misery. So now I don't think it would be so bad to get layoff here. Does anyone know... — read more

Stop worrying about layoffs and do something proactive

You gain nothing from worrying about something you can't change. Instead, start working on a plan in case you're laid off. This company certainly doesn't care about you or your best interest, so it's on you to make sure your future is not fu---d up... — read more

A lot of people were guessing and posting dates, but I don't know that any layoffs happened this month. Considering that it's past Thanksgiving and the end of the month is here, does it mean that we have managed to avoid the dreaded November layoffs... — read more
