I'm hearing some rumors about cuts again. However, who is left to cut? Everyone is leaving this place. It speaks volumes about the culture at NCR that not only those who are dissatisfied are leaving, but also those who were quite comfortable here. I'm already doing at least twice as much work that I normally should be doing, and there are many more of us who are dealing with unrealistic workloads, so cuts would totally ruin whatever is left of this company, in my opinion.

It seems like the latest chop is affecting Executive director and VP level folks. Know two people that were let go. One from PM and other one from Customer Support.
The people that are comfortable there as you asked have nowhere to go and no skills or credentials outside of NCR. Very simple.
Almost 15 years of layoffs and you ask this question
One area that can be cut is managers, specifically 1st level managers who really don't know anything about managing or the traits and skills to to be a real manager. They do what they want, offend who they want, don't report to an office or abide by the same rules they enforce and think don't apply to them. There's an over abundance of these managers both in the US and abroad.
The company is already ruined-maybe 75% employees out before the 2 or 3 yr mark? And most of those leave within a year. This place is trash.
In the LT’s mind the numbers look better this way. Just “don’t pay attention to the man behind the green curtain.” The bigger the sale amount the larger the “golden parachute” for them. The little person just gets the shaft.
I haven't heard any rumors at GHQ about cuts and agree that there don't seem to be areas where we could cut. What isn't making sense is the continued freezes on travel and spending. They said no more hiring freeze too, but the reality my team is experiencing is that approved job requisitions that we've found candidates to fill are being declined when it comes time to send the offer letter. The team is at 40% capacity, but the workload isn't changing. I understand wanting to run a lean organization, but we've reached skeletal and it's destroying our ability to deliver for our customers which will impact the company's value.
