Wow I would of thought most if not all woulda left by now. Or they woulda been sold.
All I can say in 2022 is every complaint here the past two years has been the same complaints since the 90s.
Nothing is gonna change that will be a good change for any US employee. Unless your part of the entitlement group at the top. History of NCR shows us this

The last post brought a tear to my eye. Tragic to see an American company treat it's best this way.
“If you were working in tech in the 90s, you need to GTFO old man.”
That not to wise. Yes I been a tech since I could rip apart a motor and put it back together before I had a license. That being said I did move up but as a level 4 technical support. You know the ones you call when you needed assistance. I was asked to apply for a manager position at the request of the
Center manager. I explained I’m where I need to be assisting those in the field that need help. Especially after NCR started with what they called d-mbing down the field. Knowing your talent and where they are needed makes for a very well rewarding job. Money is not happiness but it is comforting.
That being said I was later asked again. And i answered the same and added there is one other thing. And that was I cannot lie for the company. I was never asked again. Integrity and honesty is missing , I will not be part of that club. Hence eventually my job landed in Serbia. I was laid off. I was asked to come back and go to Serbia to train them for 3 to 4 months, i said I would not do that. I was then later asked to come back and help with McDonald’s installations. I turned that down. I’ve been called by account managers about issues they had going on with certain accounts I had. I explained I have left my notes for others to use on the share server. They try to pull info out of me. All would say that a shame. The info is there. They eventually lost the accounts.
No shame in being a young buck but they are cheaper for a reason. The sn-t-nosed pi-ple poppers throwing shade at veterans can eat my starfish while I cr-p out more value in an hour of work than you have in your entire career.
Young bucks are cheeper, but they lack the experience and knowledge. The are just book smart. They also lack the work ethics of the past. They want to socialize, rub elbows and kiss bu-t hoping someone important will take them under their wings. They will not come in early or work late and their job is rushed not polished. They think they are entitled.
Young bucks have more opportunities than veteran engineers? More like ageism from 'wet behind the ears' engineers st-----g their precious ego from the ashes of a failed company.
An experienced engineer in their 50's in Atlanta can get a new job in a few weeks, often with a significant increase in compensation. My employer is actively hiring. And yes, being a grandpa is fun.
It's fun doing engineering work when it's on your terms, and not the employers.
Sad but true. Chances of getting rehired after 50 go way down and instances of depression and mental illness for way up.
50 year olds have a better chance of getting an er-----n than being good at tech. Get that early retirement and drink yourself silly grandpa.
If you think someone in their mid to late 50's is too d-mb to be a strong leader in tech, you have the same mentality that drove NCR where it is today. Intel did something similar about 10 years ago, forcing the expensive engineers our, replacing them with kids with dynamic ideas. It worked so well that they went from worldwide leader to #5, in need of a multi-billion government bailout in less than 10 years.
Layoff going to hit banking really hard. NCR to split into two companies. A sh---y commerce service companies and a shittier ATM company.
Banking software engineers get your resumes ready.
can someone confirm the layoff post about software engineers in banking
software engineer group is getting layoffs in banking, mostly engineers will be outsourced to Serbia hence leaders from Serbia visited HQ few months back. start preparing your resume. i am current Sr manager in Atlanta HQ North Tower.
