Moving on

To the people who have been laid off please do not let this event define who you are. These layoffs have nothing to do with your performance. Move forward with confidence. Lean on your family, friends and colleagues to get you through this time... — read more

Checking in on other teammates

If you “suspect” that a teammate was laid off but they didn’t mention anything to you, would you check in on them? Would that be nosy or considerate? Trying to be nice and supportive and in the same time respectful, hence asking for guidance. If I... — read more

How are the effected teams doing?

Just curious how teams are doing now that they’ve lost so many. My team was already struggling before they cut 3 of us, I can’t imagine how they’re handling it.

It seems like medical UW was hit, mostly exec directors and Sr Managers. Dental and Vision was not hit hard, only 1 layoff.

Wave over

Just came out of meeting with the SVP who mentioned that 98% of affected individuals have been notified in the last 2.5 days. No more layoffs are expected moving forward, although there's no 100% guarantee. The message was clear.

Calm Down Everyone..

Nothing is worth getting all bent out of shape when you consider: No one will remember you 100 years from now. Someday the sun will swallow the Earth. Humanity was doomed from the start. The Universe doesn't even know we exist. Now, bearing... — read more

Aetna Clinical Solutions, Utilization Mgmt

We got a notice stating that “most impacted ACS colleagues have been informed this week of decisions affecting them or their teams.” So… I’m thinking this round is over for us in UM. They did throw in that we will be working on our Medicare stars... — read more

Are there more this week?

No one is EVER safe..

Circumstances like these layoffs only reinforce the reality that you will never be safe.. Work remotely Work two jobs Save as much money as you can Don't make any large purchases

CVS is dead man walking

Why is it that this company has no idea how to aquire companies for reasonable valuations? Overpaid for aetna, omnicare was a disaster and don't get me started on the latest 2 dumpster fires.

This round ends in September

I don’t recall the exact date, but is somewhere in mid-September. If you’ve made it this far and you are a high performer you should be fine. But for everyone else, there is more on the way. Stay on guard.

So many good people gone

We lost half of our team. Several great people were lost. One of them is about to become a father for the third time. I am glad I still have a job but for some reason, I can't help but feel guilty. I know full well none of this is my fault but that... — read more

To my fellow A&BC breathen

MarTech - AVP and Ld Director

MarTech AVP and LD Director (who was also my manager) have been let go. As of now, there hasn't been any communication about the future of team or myself.

Now for the Centralization

I think that is what's next. Re-org after the layoffs. Likely in a way that makes no sense and that will need to be corrected shortly by another re-org.

It's not over yet

I was an id--t who thought it would be done by the end of Tuesday. Now here I am, unable to sleep once again because this company is not capable of doing anything it sets out to do, including laying people off in the time frame they've provided. What... — read more

I was laid off from a script

Manager set up a meeting with me. As soon as the meeting began, we said hello, then manager began reading a script. No human element at all. Just read the script. I sat there for 5 minutes as manager recited the script…no “sorry”, no kind words. Just... — read more

Yasss slay queen

Oh there's been a lot of that unfortunately. What a stressful and awful. My thoughts to all of you affected. I hope you are able to get on your feet fast

Karen and Michelle…

Have more people managing their LinkedIn social posts than their communication plans for these layoffs. Good riddance dinosaurs, and CVS too.

They want AI to take over..

We had one community care RN notified she is laid off today. They had us watch a video of an AI not having a conversation with a human about health care benefits and codes of a member. It is a creepy video. I think their hope is to replace employees... — read more
