This is incorrect. Basically all of the people who were laid off in the warm notice, were already laid off. Their last paycheck is Oct 21st, and then their severance kicks in. That’s why.
I looked at the Rhode Island and Conneticut Warn notices. There are termination dates in November and December, which leads me to believe there are further rounds of layoffs coming, greater than the 5k announced.
One problem I see with that list of affected positions. I don't see Karen, Prem, Michelle, or Laurie's positions in it. There the ones that need to be let go.
D-mb post of the week. Each state has different warn guidelines. Not all states have to report, especially when under a certain headcount.
I can assure you, they are close to the 5,000
I don’t know why people thought this was over after last week. Reread the Karen email. This going to take place over several weeks. This was just the first round. Lay people off, regroup, lay-off again. So on so forth. Buckle up it’s going to get bumpy!
I see they laid off some call center managers
"What is service ops?" Everything anything from Customer service to Billing, office work. Record keeping, building operations, security. The crush is coming.
What is service ops?
Service Ops is getting the chopping block this week.
You actually think it's 5000? So far WARN notices went out in RI, FL, CT where Offices are closing. Not individuals. When OH pulls the license on CVS Pharmacy and told to get out. Plus destroyed stock. We are now in damage control and half the company is going to go in months. AI and Chatbots are coming and automated stores.
WARN doesn’t apply to contractors
What about contractors? Not sure WARN notices apply to them in a mass layoff?
Curious if some states didn’t have enough staff eliminated to meet the threshold? Or if some states haven’t updated their sites yet? I was thinking the same thing though.
