How corrupt are Windstream execs?

After the Aurelius judgment, Windstream owed $310M, plus another $60M in back interest. At the time it had just $37M on it's cash balance sheet. And in the midst of this cash crunch, TT decides it's a fine time to take $5M out of employee accounts... — read more

What is the position of the creditors?

Do you think the creditors, at least the big ones will be cheering for liquidation within the bankruptcy proceedings. It makes sense that they will try to get as much as they can out of WIN, rather than risk that the company sinks even lower.

Not sorry to see Windstream go

No way to avoid cuts

The companies that have the potential to buy WIN want the company of its assets, not its employees, so if we get sold off to someone there will be mayor cuts, same story if the company gets sold in parts, liquidation, well we all know what that... — read more

Is breaking the company into pieces a probable option?

I imagine they will try to avoid this, but exactly how much probability is there to an outcome in which WIN gets chopped into segments and gets sold of to other companies? I figure it’s either that or thinning to the bone..

401K Match Will Be Made in Cash

Pretty much closes the book on the future of WIN shares. Existing shareholders equity will eventually go to zero. Existing shares will get cancelled and new shares will be issued to bondholders as part of the debt restructuring.

We'll be sold in parts

No one company is going to buy all of us, they are going to break it up and sell the parts. ILEC and CLEC will both be spun off. All of those other services provided by WE will be sold to competitors. I wold guess Zayo for the fiber but do we really... — read more

What happens with severance in Chapter 11?

What happens if we get laid off within the Chapter 11 process? Do we get our severance in compliant with the compliance rules as it was a “normal” layoff, or is that off the table in this situation? I would appreciate some thoughts on this issue.
