Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Not sorry to see Windstream go

A few years ago, had a new client (I'm in I.T.) try to disconnect services from them. My client's Accounts Payable Manager came to me in frustration and I quickly understood why. Their processes appeared to be calculated to delay, frustrate and develop situations that would continue to bring them revenue.

We ended up having to make a complaint to the State Utility Commission to get Windstream to behave ethically. I'm sorry for those thousands of people who have lost/are losing their jobs (other than the executives who instituted those policies). Not sorry to see Windstream go.

They probably disconnected another customer in the process. Using so many databases, customers get disconnected error all the time, not to mention the databases are all wrong

If you disconnect before your contract is up you pay an ETF (Early Termination Fee). Most carriers do this , especially with a type 2 circuit. If you are leasing a circuit from the LEC you pay a wholesale price for that circuit. If the end user decides not to continue their service you still have to pay for that circuit.

Haha, trust me there is no calculation in the processes. Just myriad incompetency, overworked good employees, an overbloated and unqualified management chain, and disastrous management choices.
