How far are we from liquidation?

It seems nobody is mentioning the possibility of the worst outcome. Are people just scared to even mention it or are we really far from that scenario that nobody thinks it’s even worth debating. On the other hand, being in Ch11 is proof that the... — read more

Have layoffs started or not?

So how many RIFFs have there been in the last 30 days? What groups have been hit? Don't name people but titles are fine. Or is all this layoff noise just that? So much this. People keep talking about layoffs already taking place, and yet I've heard... — read more

SDWan and Ucaas/office suite

Didn’t they tell us customers will be calling us to buy SDWan Ucaas and office suite? Still haven’t received that call. I guess ACC is waiting for us to find them an opportunity and throw it to them. Those poor guys are worthless.

What parts of the company will they want so sell?

I tried to look at this from all angles an to tell you the truth I don’t see WIN surviving in this shape and form. In the best case scenario they will try to get rid of some parts of the company to try together money to pay for the transformation... — read more

I don’t have any details or time stamps and this isn’t a guess. A staff reduction plan is being reviewed for multiple channels.

Outsourcing Thechnology Jobs

They have been outsourcing groups like VNOC and SS7 groups before they were in Chapter 11. Don't see them stopping now if it saves them money.

Is outsourcing in play while in CH 11?

I’m aware that there will be layoffs restructuring, lowering the headcount, but could we also be facing outsourcing of some segments of the company within the restructure required by Ch 11? Is that even allowed in this position?

401k question

I am not employed by Windstream, and have a question. Windstream matched 401K contributions with stock. The stock is now essentially valueless. Did they reimburse you for the past retirement contributions? Or was that just a huge loss for you?

Why wait for layoffs?

I’ve started my job hunt as I don’t want to wait for this whole thing to fall like a house of cards, and it will. I would advise the same to others? Even if the company survives in some shape, it’s going to be a weak company in which shifts and... — read more
